The first haul of emergency essentials collected by a group of Connecticut residents has found its way into the hands of those in need in Bakersville, North Carolina.

The Connecticut Agricultural and Emergency Essentials Convoy provided donations including a 25-foot box truck full of livestock feed, a box trailer with 750 square bales of hay, a flatbed truck with 20 round bales of hay, and a 52-foot trailer loaded emergency supplies (e.g., five 6,500-watt generators, chainsaws, chainsaw kits, livestock medications, fencing supplies).

The Bakersville community is in need of more essential supplies to rebuild and stay safe.

Thanks to Home Depot, emergency aid organizer Kate Prokop says they have an opportunity to purchase **6,500-watt generators** for $200 each. They have raised enough to purchase 20 generators so far, but Home Depot is ready to give up to 80 at the reduced, $200 price.

Together with Cloudland Baptist Church, the group from Connecticut will be distributing heaters, generators, and other crucial supplies to families who need them most in Bakersville and Buladean, North Carolina.

The second haul from Connecticut leaves soon with FOUR MORE LOADS OF HAY, FEED and GENERATORS.
