Longtime democrat strategist, television commentator and Substack blogger, Julie Roginsky, said she was "feeling great" about her party after the blue wave rolled through municipal elections last week.

"I felt like we’d finally gotten our footing after [going through] hell," Roginsky told Salon. “And most importantly, I heard a Democratic leadership that convinced their own voters that Democrats felt it imperative to provide people with affordable and accessible health care, and that that was non-negotiable for them.”

Now she's "thoroughly disgusted" after eight democrats joined republicans to end the shutdown, and places the blame on Schumer and Senate Democratic leadership who “let those people down.”

"Are we in a debate club to raise *awareness* or were these senators sent to Washington to actually GET SHIT DONE?," lamented Roginsky.

She described the deal to end the shutdown as more or less a "betrayal" and said the party has now lost the support of "establishment democrats" like her. She also thinks that people are going to die as a result of not getting everything democrats originally wanted in the shutdown negotiations.

“It turns out Sen. Sanders, who’s been saying the same thing over and over again, has been right, and we need fighters. We need people who understand what is at stake,” said Roginsky who apparently is now fond of socialism.

She named Chris Murphy, the guy who thinks socialist Zohran Mamdani is the "future" of the democrat party, as one of the potential contenders for Minority Leader.

Apparently his message about the vote to end the shutdown must have resonated with her.

Murphy added to that message last night, saying, "I want to make sure you know what’s happening right now as the Senate votes to reopen the government. This CR is a mistake."

"This CR is going to make peoples' lives miserable in this country. It's going to likely embolden Trump to act more lawlessly," said Murphy, still exacerbated over the eight senate democrats who joined republicans to end the shutdown.

He claims the fight was never about politics.

He reiterated that democrat voters sent the message last week that they wanted to keep the shutdown going. The day after the election, it was Trump who said he wanted to end the shutdown, not democrats. Murphy added that many people hadn't seen their new Obamacare premiums yet, so the "pressure" was only "just starting to build."

He wanted that pressure to continue to build until Democrats got what they wanted.

He's also really worried that "when you yield to a President who is acting brazenly unconstitutionally and lawlessly, you end up emboldening him to act even more illegally."

"Yes, the President was making this shutdown hurt more than it had to," claimed Murphy. "What do you do when a President is willing to use the imposition of pain on people in order to try to compel loyalty or acquiescence."

The imposition of pain on people to get them to acquiesce?

Like what happened during the plandemic, that kind of pain Murphy?
