Connecticut Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas wants everyone to "get up off your a**" and join the "Hands Off" protests planned for April 5th.
She said, "Cancel brunch. Skip the sports. Miss the birthday party. Offer to watch all the kids." in her post which included some rather curious photos of previous protests.
"When your government has ALREADY issued proclamations against your universities, your museums, and is trying to unlawfully curtail your right to vote, attending a peaceful protest is literally THE EASIEST THING YOU CAN DO. These photos are a reminder that protesting only gets harder later," Thomas wrote.
"I don't care if you don't like the group organizing it. Don't usually do these things. Don't like the Democratic party. This is not about political party, this is not about policy. This is about being American and standing up for the ideals of our Constitutional Democracy," Thomas continued.
She urged all "able-bodied" men and women to show up, apparently taking a swipe at the transgender community on the Transgender Day of Visibility, no less.
Not a very inclusive thing for her to say, was it?
