From New Haven To Now: The Manufactured Revolution

In 1970, Black Panthers in New Haven went on trial for the torture and murder of Alex Rackley. The spectacle revealed a truth: rebellion can be performance. Defense attorney Michael Koskoff cut to the core:

“Many of the people in the New Haven chapter of the Panthers were middle class. They were defined more by their propaganda than by their own personalities. And they were young and impressionable.”

These weren’t desperate revolutionaries—they were privileged kids seeking purpose, shaped by ideology more than lived suffering.

Fast forward to today: privileged youth march under rainbow flags, demand pronoun recognition, and claim systemic harm—all while living in comfort and safety. Their trans and queer identity politics often function as shields, tools to assert moral superiority while ignoring real oppression.

This performative allyship is stark in groups like Queers for Palestine. They celebrate Hamas—the very organization responsible for much of the suffering in Gaza, including the October 7th attacks—yet blame Israel for atrocities Hamas committed. Meanwhile, LGBTQ+ Palestinians face imprisonment, torture, or worse, often fleeing to Israel for safety.

The narcissism is clear: identity becomes a weapon, pronouns become armor, and false victimhood is proclaimed—all while silencing or marginalizing those truly suffering: women in safe spaces, vulnerable children, and oppressed communities.

The lesson from New Haven still resonates: when ideology and propaganda drive youth movements, they become performances of victimhood, not revolutions grounded in reality.
