A pink-haired communist in Connecticut named "Kate" is trying to establish a communist club at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) in New Haven.

She's already a member of the Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA), and returned on Sunday from RCA's two-day Marxist School in New York City feeling energized and ready to organize students at her school.

"I can't wait to bring the energy from this weekend to the Southern Campus," said Kate as she announced the November 10th SCSU Communist Club interest meeting. "Capitalism is in decay. War. Debt. Ecological crisis. The list goes on and on. But why socialism? Come tomorrow to learn why."

She goes on to say that the choice for her generation is clear -- it's allegedly a choice between socialism and barbarism -- and the question is not "whether a revolutionary upsurge will take to the streets" but "if we will be ready" for the revolution.

Before attending the $100 RCA course, students like Kate were encouraged to read up on Marxist Theory and learn more about communism on the RCA website.

Over 2,500 people reportedly signed up to attend Marxist School in 2025.

About RCA Connecticut

The Revolutionary Communists' Connecticut chapter was originally established by Eric Goodman, who became well-known for plastering the Yale University campus with "Are You A Communist?" posters in 2020.

Since then, the group has reportedly been meeting weekly on Monday nights in New Haven, and "attending protests, holding rallies, or making the case for communism to their friends and coworkers."

Part of the group's strategy includes working within existing protests to plant communist roots, like when the comrades set up a couple tents and joined the Yale pro-Palestine protesters, befriended students, and tried to lure them into joining the RCA.

RCA Connecticut boasts 2,600 followers on Facebook, and another 1,274 on Instagram.

The comrades are demanding amnesty for all illegals, along with universal healthcare, housing and education for all. Plus, it wants to abolish ICE, dismantle capitalism as a whole, end all support to Ukraine and Israel, expropriate "war profiteers" and fully liberate the LGBTQ community.

In May, the comrades celebrated the high communist holiday of May Day by chanting things like "No War but the Class War!" and "Globalize the Intifada!" and "They say trade war, we say class war!"

In June, RCA Connecticut joined the "No Kings" protest, though the revolutionaries don't just hate the Republican party. They also hate the Democrat party, and blame it for being "complicit in perpetuating imperialism, xenophobia, and capitalist oppression."

In July, RCA Connecticut joined the protests against Cheshire Correctional Institution where a comrade had been locked up and allegedly treated like a slave. The commies believe that Eugene Debs was right when he said, “capitalism must have prisons in order to protect itself from the criminals that it has created.”

In September, the commies joined workers for a labor union strike.

Then in October, it was the second No Kings protest, which featured a table with a display full of Communist propaganda.

The RCA manifesto states that the key task for all of its comrades "is to assemble the new generation of class fighters into battle formation and arm them with Marxist ideas and methods" -- just like what happened with Kate from SCSU.

And the comrades think that the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America are too "milquetoast" to succeed in really implementing true communism because they have supported and worked within the Democrat Party.

By the way, in case you didn't realize, last week was Anti-Communism Week.

President Trump issued a formal proclamation on November 7th -- "a solemn remembrance of the devastation caused by one of history’s most destructive ideologies" that killed more than 100 million by "regimes that sought to erase faith, suppress freedom, and destroy prosperity earned through hard work, violating the God-given rights and dignity of those they oppressed."

Trump renewed his promise "to stand firm against communism" and new forms of tyranny.

"New voices now repeat old lies, cloaking them in the language of “social justice” and “democratic socialism,” yet their message remains the same:  give up your freedom, place your trust in the power of the government, and trade the promise of prosperity for the empty comfort of control.  America rejects this evil doctrine," said Trump's proclamation.

"We remain a Nation founded on the eternal truth that liberty and opportunity are the birthrights of every person, and that no ideology, whether foreign or domestic, can extinguish them."
