Two nights ago Laura Ingraham, who grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut, interviewed detransitioner Simon Amaya Price on her Fox News program Ingraham Angle. Price, 21, testified in hearings in the spring session in the Connecticut legislature against radical transgender bills.
The topic was the reported downturn in transgender identification among today's youth.
Price remarked how he socially transitioned but did not take any later trans medical steps. This was because his father refused, which created great tension between the father and son. However somewhat quickly in time, Price switched back to presenting himself as male.
Changing appearance from traditionally male-to-female and back to male is called "detransitioning" more generally, and it's called "desisting" in the sub-culture as Price didn't take any medical steps.
Also speaking in the segment was Eric Kaufmann of the Centre for Heterodox Social Science. He spoke about the downturn of transgender identification. On his Substack, he wrote about "Post-progressivism: Why we are leaving the 60-year era of cultural left-liberalism" and refers to the progressive era as c. 1964-2022.
Price was featured in the Connecticut Centinal in the spring and shown in reporting by Mike Cerulli on WTNH, with detransitioner Elle Palmer and CT State Representative Craig Fishbein.
