Connecticut Attorney General William "Lawfare" Tong, Governor Ned Lamont and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz appeared yesterday afternoon, June 10th, for a press conference where their goal was apparently to gaslight anyone listening about the riots in California.
Tong said he is "deeply concerned and troubled" about the deployment of the National Guard and the Marines in Los Angeles, and argued that their presence creates "an extreme risk" of more violence -- he essentially blamed any future violence on Trump instead of the well funded and organized rioters and anarchists terrorizing the city.
Tong boasted about being in touch with his buddy, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, who spent 11 years in New Haven, and joked that "he's one of us."
"There is no rebellion in Los Angeles," according to Tong, which he claims is one of the reasons why he believes it was unlawful for Trump to deploy the military. Another reason Tong cited for the allegedly unlawful deployment is that California Governor Gavin Newsom didn't give Trump the authority to deploy the military.
Additionally, Tong argued that LAPD and California state police "had it under control" and "did not ask for, nor does it need Trump's help" ... even though you can clearly see footage from June 8th where the LAPD is trapped, cruisers are being set on fire and Molotov cocktails are being hurled from the bridge.

Tong made it clear that he, and the state of Connecticut, would do everything possible to stand up for California in court after Bonta filed a challenge to Trump's deployment of the National Guard and Marines.
However, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, who was appointed by Bill Clinton, declined to block the military deployment in Los Angeles according to Newsom's timeframe, and instead set a hearing for Thursday to consider a temporary restraining order.
Tong once again promised that bringing more troops in would "invite more protesters" and start "piling up on itself." He even suggested there would be "some permanent damage" done if Trump didn't pull back the deployment. Was that a threat?
Bysiewicz was up next.
"President Trump has displayed an extreme callousness and cruelty as he has engaged in a crackdown on immigration in our country," she said, glossing over the fact that Trump is cracking down on criminal illegals and illegal immigration.
She argued that the President only has the right to use the military in "extreme and rare" circumstances, and she claims those circumstances haven't been met in California. She then claimed that Trump "wasted" $143 million dollars on an "effort that wasn't necessary or needed, and which could incite violence."
She said it was "distressing" to see Trump sending the military to help the people of California and she felt he did it to "terrify and stifle people who disagree with him."
"This is the hallmark of a dictator, the hallmark of an authoritarian regime," Bysiewicz said a mere 12 hours after a mortar was being used to launch fireworks at police.

At least Ned acknowledged that "some" of the protests were turning violent.
Then he emphasized that the George Floyd protests in Connecticut were "peaceful" and there wasn't a need to call up the Connecticut National Guard.
"We know how to handle this ourselves," said a nervous Ned who definitely does not want Trump or the National Guard to come anywhere near Connecticut.
Lamont claimed that Trump was "eager" to "militarize the situation" and later added that "as soon as you militarize the situation, you pour gasoline on the flames and you make things a lot worse."
Then the same guy who imposed vaccine mandates on state workers and forced them to take a dangerous, experimental shot in order to keep their jobs said, "how about the Hippocratic Oath, don't do any harm," with respect to Trump's use of the military.
All three of them seemed very concerned about the Indivisibles "No Kings" protests scheduled for the weekend.
They wanted protesters to know that they should absolutely feel safe to go out and join the protests scheduled to take place all across the state on Saturday.
And they definitely do not want the National Guard to be poking their noses around during their little "No Kings" color revolution, either.
Of course, just hours after Tong, Bysiewicz and Lamont insulted your intelligence by telling you that California is all peaceful and definitely not looking like a rebellion, the Marxist Mayor of LA, Karen Bass, imposed an emergency curfew for downtown LA due to the significant damage to business and properties caused by the rioters.
LA gang members allegedly threatened to execute any rioters that riot in "their" zone.
Riots and chaos also erupted in other cities across the country, too, including Chicago, Boston, New York, Denver and Seattle -- all just in time for "No Kings" on Saturday.
Oh boy, protest season is in full swing!
