Leftists, their comrades and elected democrat leaders assembled in cities all across Connecticut yesterday for yet another "national day of action" -- this time under the banner of "50501" -- fifty protests, fifty states, one movement.
Senators Richard Blumenthal, Senator Chris Murphy, Congressman John Larson, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Congressman Jim Himes, Governor Ned Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, SOTS Stephanie Thomas, and many other democrats got in on the action at protests in Hartford, Norwalk and other Connecticut cities. They even had a sign language interpreter on hand for the protest in Hartford.
The same aging crowd showed up that we've seen for weeks on end, many holding the same recycled signs they used at previous "Hands Off" and "No Kings" national days of action, along with protest classics like "F*ck Fascists" and "Dump Trump" and "No Nazis".
Ironically, only one side seems to be calling people "Nazis" and drawing swastikas on signs.
"We will not abide by the lawlessness, the disdain for the Constitution and the celebration of brutality that we see coming out of Washington, D.C., and we're demanding better," said Himes who argued this is a "critical moment" because "we are at an inflection point" particularly with respect to deporting people.
"You cannot attack universities and law firms and civil society in this country in ways that violate the law," said Himes who admitted Trump hasn't actually violated any court orders.
"Our struggle is not a struggle of a day, a week, a month or a year. It is a struggle of a lifetime," promised SOTS Thomas, fresh off her inflammatory comments at the Registrar of Voters Association of Connecticut (ROVAC) conference, in which she referred to President Trump as the "General of the SS" -- implying half of the registrars in the room were Nazis.
By the way the message about deporting people is all about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 gang member, wife beater and human trafficker who was on the Transnational Organized Crime Watchlist.
Plenty of protesters actually came out in support of Kilmar, including a guy at the Westport protest who was so upset about Kilmar—a citizen of El Salvador getting deported to his home country—that he passed out a huge stack pro-Kilmar flyers to the crowd.
CT News Junkie mentioned the "Bring Kilmar Home" message in its article about the protests, but like most Connecticut media, it failed to mention the inconvenient facts about Kilmar's gang tattoos and criminal record.

Instead, CT New Junkie described Kilmar as "a Maryland resident whose deportation and due process rights have been the subject of nationwide debate."
Sure, Kilmar has been the subject of nationwide debate, CT News Junkie.
But that's because most citizens in this country are shocked and horrified that of all the people democrats chose to make their martyr, they picked an MS-13 gang member with an ugly criminal history.
So much for objective news. Your story is full of biased and misleading statements, and outright lies.
The ENTIRE POINT against the imprisonment of Garcia in a 3rd world prison is that it was done WITHOUT due process, in violation of the Constitution, which guarantees "any person" in the US the right to due process. That's regardless of citizenship. This right is what protects every one of us from being imprisoned at the whim of an authority figure, or based on conjecture.
