In 2016, the left embraced Islamophobia in its drive to paint Christians and the right as bigots. The past 2 years the ice cream flavor of the month has shifted to ‘transphobia.’ The woke faction of our society appears to be getting more tractions with the transgender cause. 2 states (California and Michigan) are actually discussing laws to criminalize those who aren’t 100% on board with transgenderism.
Enter the LA Dodgers. In the spring, the famed baseball team generated controversy by proposing to include the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in its PRIDE night. After public backlash, they withdrew the invitation but then quickly rolled over and endorsed the Sisters’ presence at the PRIDE event. In doing so, the Dodgers’ proclaimed their disdain for family values and Christianity. Worse, in a brazen display of arrogance, the Sisters’ website proclaimed:
“A full apology was given to us by the Dodgers’ staff which we accept.”
The Sisters has a website (www.thesisters.org) with the following stated mission:
“The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence® are a leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns. We believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty. Since our first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the Sisters have devoted ourselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment. We use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit.”
While the members who wear scary clown paint pretend to be an upstanding group, their website and actions demonstrate otherwise. Their stated names on the website include such ‘Christ-like’ names as:
Sister Anal Receptive
Sister Jezabelle of the Enraptured Sling
Sister Porn Again
Guard Shugga Butt
Sister T’aint a Virgin
Their events include mock homosexual sex on stage and half naked members pole dancing on crosses. Clearly they have a disdain for Christianity, the religion they despise as being bigoted. However, all 10 countries in the world that still exercise capital punishment for homosexuality and other LGTBQ+ “offenses” are Islamic. Muslims in America are beginning to push back, demanding that LGTBQ+ values be removed from schools. In this setting, the transgender activists have a golden opportunity to expand their assault on family and organized religion by declaring war on Islam.
When will Muslims in America be treated to the first transgender show featuring a TG activist having mock sex with Mohammad on stage? Such an act would be reprehensible but would also be no different than the extensive perverse and disgusting acts they have done to demonstrate their hatred for Christians.
The Sisters should be attacking nearly every organized religion in America, but they are not. This is clearly a double standard for leftists/woke elements in America. What is also likely indicates is that the primary goal is not to promote TG rights but to specifically attack Christianity, whose virtues are the bedrock of American’s history and values.
