"That government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg Address
Westport is steeped in Revolutionary history that many of its citizens have forgotten, or ignore.
In April of 1776, 2,000 British troops landed at Compo Beach and marched to Danbury, where they destroyed a Continental ammunition depot.
On the way back to Compo, the fledgling Continental Army and minuteman militia engaged the British regulars, inflicting casualties and taking hundreds themselves.
Westport is literally the cradle of revolutionary liberty, where a new nation fought off the largest empire in the world at the time, to create a republic like none other in history, where mankind was actually ruled by the people and for the people.
Today, the Chairman of the Westport Board of Education will not say the pledge of allegiance.
There is a Black Lives Matter plaque in the town hall, an admittedly Marxist organization.
Marxism is the antithesis of freedom.
An unelected body, 'Team Westport' has undue influence over town affairs.
This is not government by the people.
The Westport Board of Education is currently implementing an 'equity plan' that will destroy opportunity but create 'equal outcomes'. The plan was developed in conjunction with NYU, not exactly a bastion of critical thinking these days.
Westport educational facilities are promoting pornographic material to young children, in an attempt to sexualize them, and destroy the underpinnings of family, and community.
It's a classic Marxist thing to do. Read about the Cultural Revolution. The family was the first thing to go.
The American Revolution was fought against taxation without representation.
It was fought against forced lodging of British troops in local towns (sounds like forced housing of illegals in NYC).
It was fought against a far away tyranny that desired to impose its will on the American people (sounds like Davos, or even Washington, D.C.).
Our system of government was built off the Roman and Greek experience.
I highly recommend The Federalist Papers for your winter read.
Our system of government offers more opportunity for those without means, to make something of themselves, than any other nation in the world.
It's called the American dream. And, it's dying.
Under the previous occupant of The White House, minorities had the highest income levels...ever...in the history of our nation.
Yes, our republic has made mistakes, but unlike the slave trade which is today flourishing in communist China, we ended this scourge 155 years ago.
We passed civil rights laws.
Mixed-race families are common now. I myself have two mixed-race children.
Now globalism threatens our gains. And, the refusal to stand up for liberty threatens our very existence.
Ask yourself this question - if we destroy America as it exists, in favor of an oligarchy of globalist origin, what will happen to your children's future?
Do you really want this?
Or will you find courage to peacefully stand up to tyranny, and prevent its further spread in your community, and put away the fear of losing your job, or not being invited to parties?
Be the peaceful minuteman for freedom.
Not surprising—CT is going communist.

Almost every prominent politician in Connecticut has a working relationship with the Communist Party—yet CT voters have virtually no knowledge of these relationships.
