Imagine you are standing in your kitchen early one morning. You are making breakfast for your family, most of whom are still asleep upstairs. Suddenly, there is a pounding at the door.

It is an FBI SWAT team that is pounding. 25 agents, with 15 vehicles. They say they will break the door down if you do not open it. And when you let them in, they have five guns pointed at you, your wife, and your kids.

    Because you are pro-life.

It sounds crazy. That's not America, right? Other countries persecute their citizens for angering the government, but not the United States.

Not anymore. Even here in our country, the government has been increasingly weaponized against its own citizens. Ever since the Dobbs decision (overturning Roe v. Wade) was leaked to the press, the government has been particularly weaponized against pro-lifers.

Which brings us to our keynote speaker for this year's FIC Banquet. You don't have to imagine the nightmare scenario above. It actually happened to him.

Pro-life hero Mark Houck will be our speaker on October 13th in Stamford.

Mark was facing up to 11 years in prison and a fine of up to $350,000. All based on an incident outside an abortion clinic that was dismissed by local authorities...only to be suddenly revived by the federal government after the Dobbs leak. And in the outrageous fashion described here.

A jury found unanimously in Mark's favor after only an hour of deliberation. That was how weak the government's case was against him.

Nevertheless, pro-abortionists sent a message by what they put Mark and his family through. And here in Connecticut, they are trying to send us the same message.

Earlier this year, on the very same day we held the 2nd annual CT March for Life, the legislature held a hearing on a bill that would have made it easier to do to pro-lifers in Connecticut what was done to Mark Houck in his state.

Peter Wolfgang testified against it and the bill was defeated. And several others like it, including one that seemed to directly target FIC.

But the message was clear. And so, we are sending a message of our own. And Mark Houck will deliver it for us.

You can send a message too, by buying tickets now and attending the FIC Banquet on October 13th.
