Let's face it, Trump is an absolute legend.

The man gets shot in the ear by a 20-year-old sniper who intended to assassinate him, yet Trump still managed to get out a few fist pumps and tell the crowd to "fight fight fight" before being led off the stage at his Butler, PA, rally on Saturday.

Not only that but he didn't "allow a 'shooter,' or potential assassin" to force any changes to his schedule, including his plans to attend the Republican National Convention this week, though he changed his speech with the hope of using it to unite our country once again.

Trump is an unstoppable force, strong and courageous, and the Democrats are openly acknowledging that he will be damn near impossible to beat after surviving an assassination attempt. "A senior House Democrat" even allegedly admitted, "we've all resigned ourselves to a second Trump presidency."

Now, in the aftermath of the assassination attempt, it's looking more and more like an inside job.

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) did not shoot at the sniper, Thomas Matthew Crooks, until after he engaged, in what can only be described as a catastrophic failure for the agency.

The head of the USSS, Kimberly Cheatle, is being hauled before Congress next week to answer for her obvious failures. She actually defended the agency's response to the assassination attempt on Saturday, stating that personnel moved “quickly” and that the counter sniper team “neutralized the shooter” while agents implemented “protective measures to ensure the safety of former president Donald Trump.”

Don't get us started on that DEI hire who couldn't figure out how to holster her gun!

The USSS went on to blame local police for failing to secure the area and pointed out that Jill Biden was also in Pittsburgh that day, which meant the USSS sent the B-team to protect Trump.

Biden's USSS hasn't exactly been willing to provide protection to Presidential candidates this election cycle.

Warnings are already coming out about the potential for "violent extremists" to incite further violence.

Considering how the press has been calling MAGA supporters "extremists" for years, it's hard to imagine how these "warnings" aren't somehow directed at MAGA... planting the idea that MAGA might want "revenge" for the attack on Trump... and perhaps creating the perfect set-up to blame MAGA for another J6 style info op... maybe even forming the basis for a gun grab so as to "prevent" any future "political violence".

"For anyone out there who has a platform who thinks the moment right now is to be political and attack the other party — you are feeding into the danger. You are making it more likely there’s retaliation," warned former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki on her Sunday TV program. "I'm incredibly scared. I'm scared for journalists. I'm scared for people who have public platforms of all parties."

Scared for journalists? Like the ones who have been literally calling Trump Hitler and suggesting that he needs to be taken out in order to "save our democracy" for years? Those journalists?

Psaki further argued that the RNC programming this week needed to change to ensure it was "calming the tone" and "restoring civility"... another ironic statement given how the mainstream media has covered Trump and MAGA, and has positioned conservative parents as "domestic terrorists" for wanting to protect children from indoctrination in school.

Otherwise the implication seems to be that MAGA will be blamed for any political violence.

Meanwhile, the Connecticut delegation to DC, along with Gov. Ned Lamont, all issued statements urging the "lowering of political heat" in complete lock step with the new democrat talking points.

The local reaction in Greenwich has been interesting.

Greenwich Republicans wrote on Saturday evening: "Tonight we pray for President Trump, the Secret Service agents and the supporters at the Pennsylvania rally."

Greenwich Democrats posted on Facebook: "We are relieved that former President Trump is safe and our thoughts are with all who were hit."

Senator Ryan Fazio, State Rep. Rachael Khanna, and State Rep candidate Tod Laudonia all shared statements on social media, too.

We couldn't find statements from State Rep Steve Meskers, State Rep Hector Arzeno or from Greenwich First Selectmen Fred Camillo.

Nor from former RTC Chair Dan Quigley who has spent much of his time arguing that an "extraordinary counter effort" should be made "in order to prevent" Trump's "reascension to power".

We wonder if he had a similar reaction as State Rep. candidate Ken Gucker from Danbury... the guy who seemed to support the attempt to assassinate President Trump.

While the The Connecticut Centinal and the Greenwich Time covered the event, we couldn't find a mention on the Greenwich Free Press or the Greenwich Sentinel, which seemed like quite an omission.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief who was shot and killed during the rally, and to the families of everyone impacted by the tragic events that took place, including the Trump family and especially Barron who watched the terrifying ordeal first-hand.

So many questions remain... about the sniper's van with explosives... the ladder on the building... whether the sniper really acted alone... and why anyone would trust the FBI to lead this investigation, especially with its track record.

    UPDATE:

Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo added a post on Facebook yesterday about the assassination attempt of Donald Trump.
