In my last article on ANTIFA, I traced the American roots of this despicable subversive para-military organization back to its early post-WWII spawn within the American university system. As noted there, over the decades ANTIFA pitched street battles against the Vietnam War, the World Trade Organization, the Iraq War, the Tea Party, and many others. They fabricated Occupy Wall Street, and turbo-charged Black Lives Matter as they set Fergusson, Minneapolis, Portland and Seattle on fire. We’ve all seen the violence and destruction paraded across our TV screens.

Being the de-facto street-army of the organized American Left, they exist to violently advance the Left’s agenda whenever it stalls on the political front. And most assuredly – the election of Donald Trump and his first seven months in office, have stalled their Leftist agenda in its tracks. In seeking to pit American against American, ANTIFA’s street violence has several purposes, including media attention, gathering violence-prone recruits, destruction of property, intimidating and injuring and killing both police and the citizenry, and controlling geography, primarily in cities. It is neither hyperbole nor exaggeration to say they seek either a civil war within the U.S., or a total societal breakdown, which could be exploited for their Marxist ends.

Last year’s pro-Hamas/anti-Israel “demonstrations” were a mere muscle-flex for ANTIFA, as they loosely joined forces with the radical Muslim activists on college campuses and in cities across the country. Observers have termed this a diabolical ‘Red-Green Alliance.’ Trump’s influence saw to it that universities would no longer be feasible as battle terrain. As 2025 wore on, you had to know that ANTIFA leadership was searching for a new defining line of battle. And as summer drew towards a close, it seems clear that Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities in our major cities, have become the latest front-line in ANTIFA’s continuing war on America.

In Los Angeles, the Molotov cocktails have flown at ICE offices and officers since June. In July, the Dallas ICE office received a bomb threat, while a shooter fired at and injured agents outside a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, TX, in August. In San Francisco they physically assaulted and peppered ICE officers in August. An “organized attack” was mounted against a Prairieland, TX, ICE facility in July. Chicago ICE officers were targeted in two incidents of vehicular assault. Portland, OR is probably ground-zero for the daily attacks on the South Portland ICE facility, persisting for the past 100 nights. See the video below as a recent example of the confrontations Portland ICE faces on a daily basis. And these are just the high-profile incidents making the headlines.

ICE facilities are in most major cities, and form the perfect national footprint for extending the battle-line across the country. ANTIFA can be certain of a local target, the justification is mindlessly the same, and they can always mount a cadre of local Antifa-nuts itching for action. And there’s always a ready population of aggrieved illegals and sympathizers who can be rousted up on short notice to stand witness, and give their sob-story quotes to the sympathetic and complicit press. It’s a perfect replicative blueprint to be extended across the country in a seditious game of violent whack-a-mole. The Trump Administration realizes this, and the President has taken action to tamp it down before the current moderate-grade fever becomes an uncontrollable national uprising.

Because mayors of the blue-captured cities have decided to non-cooperate and actively oppose protection of ICE officers and facilities, President Trump has deployed the National Guard. The citizenry in these areas have clearly welcomed the protection and order. Acting against the safety interests of the residents, these mayors and governors, e.g., Pritzker and Newsom, are clearly revealing themselves as specifically allied with the violent arm of their atrophying Democrat party - ANTIFA. In no uncertain terms, THEY have made clear the line of battle. Talk about an “insurrection!”

Since the Democrats’ national political power was decimated in the 2024 elections, they have turned to their last reliable peaceful power lever – the Courts. They’ve had mixed results on this front so far. But the one to watch is the 14-day Restraining Order issued by Portland Judge Immergut this past weekend, intended to keep Federalized troops from defending the South Portland ICE facility and personnel. The judge actually characterized the current 100+ night siege as “small and uneventful.” This will be playing-out this week. To date, Trump has been reluctant to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would provide superseding Federal authority to enter all cities.

Both wittingly and unwittingly, these mayors and governors are functioning as tools of the grand strategists, agenda-setters, and financiers of the American Left. They are each being threatened with primaries, campaign funding stoppages, and latent scandal eruptions (a la Eric Adams) if they do not oppose Trump on all available fronts. These are effective motivators for this cadre of weak excuses for human beings. The Left’s broader purpose is to stitch together a loose confederacy of defiant U.S. cities – albeit, surrounded by vast expanses of normal America.

These events will be reported as isolated low-grade incidents by the corporate mass-media – if they report at all. Since most of the country lives within a corporate media propaganda environment, it’s up to independent journalism, new media, and our own evaluation to discern what is actually happening before our eyes. This national confrontation is clearly engaged at a more significant level, and will play out in front of us in relatively short order. If this particular gambit of the organized Left is not definitively put down, the country’s domestic terrain will have shifted in the direction of continued deterioration…… until we are compelled to live through a much more costly engagement, with those who seek the destruction of the American Republic.
