In a rather shocking and bold move, Democrat Congressmen Wiley Nickel is openly suggesting the creation of a "shadow government" that mirrors and challenges President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet members.
"It's time we borrow an idea from our British friends," Nickel says about his plan to "strengthen and protect democracy" by undermining the will of We The People.
He actually delivered a speech on the House floor about his shadow government plan, which features both Congresswomen from Connecticut.
"If Trump attempts to weaponize the justice system against his political opponents with Matt Gaetz at the helm, we could see incoming Senator Adam Schiff as our Shadow Attorney General, arguing against replacing independent prosecutors with loyalists," says Nickel.
"If Trump seeks to eliminate the Department of Education, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes, a former teacher of the year, could step up as our Shadow Education Secretary to loudly defend public education in the United States," continues Nickel.
"If Trump seeks to ban abortion nationwide, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro could step in as Shadow Secretary of Health and Human Services," says Nickel.
