The Connecticut edition of the People's World just shared an article calling MAGA Republicans "the most dangerous fascists in history" in their most recent newsletter.
People's World traces its lineage to the Daily Worker newspaper, which was founded by communists, socialists, union members, and other activists in Chicago in 1924.
The article, written by John Wojcik, says the U.S. has a had a number of fascist leaders and movements in history, citing William Dudley Pelley, who founded the "Silver Shirts" which were based on Hitler's "Brown Shirts"; Henry Ford, who received the Grand Cross of the German Eagle from Nazi officials in 1938; Father Charles Coughlin, a Catholic priest and radio personality who voiced pro-Nazi opinions; and famed aviator Charles Lindbergh, who also accepted a Nazi medal and allegedly gave a Nazi salute at an America First rally in 1941.
But that's apparently small potatoes compared to the fascism of MAGA Republicans, according to Wojcik who invoked the false narrative about Trump's "very fine people" comment with respect to violence at a rally in Charlottesville, NC, in 2017.
"Despite the long history of fascism in America, nothing in that history measures up to the current fascist danger embodied in Donald Trump and his MAGA movement," writes Wojcik.
What makes Trump and MAGA far more dangerous than any other fascists in the history of the world?
Well, for starters, Trump and MAGA are strongly opposed to communism.
Wojcik alleges that MAGA Republicans actually want "immigrants, Black people, criminals, gangs, and others" to be “rounded up” by the military and "put into concentration camps" and that MAGA wants to call up the Army to allegedly "shoot protesters" who oppose the MAGA agenda.
This is pure propaganda designed to whip their comrades into a frenzy.
Then Wojcik goes on to cite a laundry list of things Trump has said that allegedly make him a fascist, such as saying that fake news outlets should be shut down, that elections and unions are corrupt, that certain books and topics (e.g., gender ideology, transgenderism) are inappropriate for children, and that all life is sacred and should be protected — messages which resonate with a large and growing group of Americans.
Wojcik is further concerned that Trump's views have become mainstream in the GOP, and that he has "so many enablers" that help push the MAGA narrative.
Of course, for MAGA supporters, Wojcik's communist rant just sounds like a whole lot of WINNING.
It's like dog shyte accusing a fart of smelling bad.
