In just another scam on CT residents, your state legislators have granted PURA the rights to pass on the cost of the “Green New Deal” disguised as the “Inflation Reduction Act” passed by Congress/Senate of the Biden/Harris administration onto your electric bill. Let’s not forget that CT has the second highest kilowatt hour fees for electricity in the entire United States. We also seem to be one of the bluest voting states in the union, keeping Democrats in office election after election to scam and suck residents dry by enacting bogus taxes and fees and explaining them with fake news media (also owned and controlled by democrats) dis-information as to why this is appropriate and an understandable means to extort more of your hard-earned money.

The recent July bills of Connecticut residents included a 258% increase to “public-benefit surcharges” allowed to be assessed through our regulatory authority PURA, which is a disgraceful money-laundering outfit in bed with bureaucrats at astronomical levels. Any legislature of agency allowing such an increase to be passed on to any consumer is clearly not doing its due diligence. PURA is an agency behaving disgracefully and full of corruption, derelict in duty to the interests of the people of CT and it should be reformed or abolished.

This level of taxation of necessary goods without representation by any means should be against the law. It used to be; when you had a voice as a tax-payer. The times we are living are like a new “Orwellian Existence” with great correlation to the fictional novel entitled “1984” by author George Orwell. Those of the younger generation should get a copy and read it. It used to be mandatory reading for students of our country when the education system was less tainted by a one-sided propaganda machine of politics. It used to be that we as a nation welcomed civil-discourse and discussed and debated ideas and differences in order to move forward progressively with the populous view of the majority. The idea of progress by constitutional democracy used to be the way of this nation. Nowadays, progress means totalitarian rule. One party controls and citizens are forced to be ruled and subjected by rules that they abjectly disagree with. Such as the validity of the portion of the electricity bill designated as “public benefits”

A mandate dictated by the few over the masses without majority support is doomed to failure. Let me be clear, even in BLUE CT, this does not sit well with residents. Having policy we did not agree to, shoved down our throats is not right. Thinking that CT will remain blue forever and resident voters will lay down and tolerate the theft of their income and livelihood for that which they do not wish to comply, will garner a mass opposition, both at the ballot box and through means of boycott. One way or another, the voices of the masses will be heard by those in power.

I would suggest an immediate revocation of the massive increase percentage formerly approved before the revolt begins.
