Connecticut Senator Richard "Danang Dick" Blumenthal is panicked about President-Elect Donald Trump's choice for Attorney General, Matt Gaetz.

"I’ll demand release of investigative findings & conclusions concerning Matt Gaetz from the House Ethics Committee. I hope Republican Judiciary Committee members will join me in seeking this highly serious, significant information," said Blumenthal.

Blumenthal said information about "alleged federal criminality" of Gaetz is directly relevant and necessary to see considering his nomination to serve as the highest federal law enforcement officer in the country.

"Republicans must release the House Ethics Committee report, along with supporting evidence," Blumenthal urged. "Gaetz can’t conceal relevant facts & evidence from the Senate simply by resignation from the House. He chose to be nominated. He can’t choose to cloak important information."

Blumenthal is not alone in demanding the House Ethics Committee report to be released.

The committee was allegedly planning to vote on Friday about whether to make the report public, but now that Gaetz has resigned, it's unclear what will happen.

Senator Chris Murphy is just as much in a state of panic as Blumenthal over the selection of Gaetz.

Murphy joined Jake Tapper live on CNN yesterday just moments after the news broke.

"Listen, Matt Gaetz is dangerously unqualified, but that's not the worst of it," lamented Murphy. "Gaetz has been Trump's chief defender when it comes to Trump's assault on democracy, his attempt to overthrow the government on January 6th, and he has openly called for the abolition of law enforcement agencies if they don't get in line with conservative political priorities."

Connecticut residents are already familiar with Murphy's special brand of gaslighting.

Murphy argues Gaetz is only being nominated "because he will implement Donald Trump's transition of the Department of Justice from an agency that stands up for all of us, to an agency that is simply an arm of the White House, designed to persecute and prosecute Trump's political enemies."

Masterful Murphlighting, especially considering the nonstop lawfare campaign against Trump.

Nonetheless Murphy has been warning for weeks and weeks now that Trump will "use the military to 'deal with' his political opponents."

"Maybe the most important nomination at this moment is the nomination for Attorney General," says a fearful Murphy. "The entire credibility of government rests upon the belief that law enforcement is there to protect all of us. That it is an independent entity that is not just to be used at the political whim of the president."

Murphy was even more triggered at the thought of potentially using "recess appointments" to get Trump's picks through, and pleaded desperately for some Republicans to go against Trump's wishes.

Murphy, who has been in rough shape since the 'cataclysmic' election, called Gaetz a "political agent" who would be "potentially cataclysmic for American democracy."

A cataclysm on top of a cataclysm sounds pretty bad, Murph.

Bad enough to make folks wonder what skeletons might be lurking in your closet.

I cannot imagine what it is like to be Chris Murphy.
I cannot imagine being so divorced from truth, from masculinity, from simple discernment of what is so - from all of the framework that girds our U.S. Constitutional magnificence and the blessings it protects.

I cannot comprehend a perspective of such childish fantasy.

And he has the political capital to effect law, his whim, on every American.

And a million CT voters said so.

Well, Mr. Pseudo-Vietnam Veteran, Blumenthal, Mr. Matt Gaetz has better qualifications than the current President, and Vice President combined, so we are confident he will make a stellar United States Attorney General.
You are just upset, that you may end up in prison, when justice prevails!
