Newtown, Connecticut-based singer-songwriter Jim Allen, a musician who once reached the Top Eight on NBC's The Voice as part of a duo, appears to have a terrible case of TDS.

In a recent recording dated August 31, 2025, and entitled, "In God We Trust", Allen delights in singing about various ways in which Donald Trump could die, stopping short of using the word "dead" but making it clear that's the word he means.

The song starts, "There'll be song and celebration. There'll be laughter in the street. Joy and jubilation moving hands, and hearts, and feet. The bells will be a-ringin'. Banners waving overhead. And we'll all sing together when the Orange Man is -- gone away..."

Then Allen describes with a smile the various things that could take Trump out -- like stepping in front of a bus, getting hit by lightning, or choking on his tie -- while singing about how everyone around the world will celebrate and dance after Trump's death.

Allen sells music lessons to people of all ages, including students, using the music room at Newtown Congregational Church, a fully open, full affirming congregation.

In his spare time, Allen organizes anti-Trump protests and has spoken in front the Newtown Democratic Committee (DTC)... where he called Trump's "ignorant and narcissistic concept of American authoritarianism" as being "alien to our Constitution" and said it was time to "deport" Trump.

In that same February 22, 2025, meeting, Allen of course brought up a Nazi reference.

"When I see the illegal accessing of our personal financial information and tax data by a Nazi-saluting, AI-loving Elon Musk, and his team of baby interns all lacking security clearance, combined with a vastly inflated claim to power by the President as they gut the very agencies...," Allen complains, arguing that one month into Trump's presidency, they were already witnessing a "not so slow motion coup."

He then told people to "put their bodies on the line" and "throw a million wrenches and pitchforks into the gears of their authoritarian freak show."

The Newtown DTC was perfectly fine sharing that message back in February, but will their tone change after the assassination of Charlie Kirk?
