Connecticut State Senator Joan Hartley posted a picture on Facebook of her visit with 3rd graders from Middlebury Elementary School that sparked immediate outrage.
Hartley forced healthy children to wear masks, while at the same time she remained unmasked for the photo.
By the way, this didn't happen in 2020, this was June 2023, well past the time that science has proven that masks do not stop covid. But since her colleague, Senator Matt Lesser tested positive for covid earlier in the week, new "temporary" mask and testing rules were put into place.
Apparently those rules only applied to children and visitors to the Capitol, and not to lawmakers like Hartley. More rules for thee...
No wonder she was immediately slammed on social media for depicting "child abuse and elitism" in a single photo.
That's probably also why her post was removed so quickly from Facebook.
Good thing that people have learned to screenshot these kinds of outrageous posts when they happen. The internet never forgets.
