Westport-based ReSisters, an activist group aligned with Indivisible, has decided to step up its game.

Normally, these folks can be found protesting on the Ruth Steinkraus Bridge in Westport or distracting traffic with their "visibility brigades" over I-95 in Norwalk.

Now they have decided to join the disturbing trend in Connecticut of doxxing federal law enforcement agents.

Turns out that early morning, ICE agents assembled at the Norwalk Police Department building parking lot.

One of the ReSisters showed up to start recording the officers, and was allegedly told by an ICE agent to leave, while another agent started to record the "ReSister" in what the anti-ICE activist described as "a clear effort to intimidate her freedom of speech."

The ICE agents asked the ReSister to leave them alone because they were "just doing their job" but she instead told them "they should not be using the public parking section of the Norwalk Police Department" because it was allegedly illegal.

The ICE agents left, but on the way out one of the agents apparently called the ReSister a "Karen" and allegedly spoke in a "disrespectful" manner to the ReSister and also to a local (unnamed) council member whom was allegedly "racially profiled."

Norwalk Mayor Rilling and Police Chief Walsh subsequently issued a statement about the ICE activity, indicating that ICE didn't have "consent" to operate in the parking lot as the department had "no prior knowledge of or involvement in their operations" -- probably because of the Trust Act -- and also expressed "serious concerns" over the tactics employed by ICE.

Rilling and Walsh said their intention is to remain a "welcoming place" where all residents are "treated with dignity and respect" even if they broke the law to come to this country and never bothered to complete the proper immigration process.

In response to today's ICE activity, the group has called for an emergency vigil at the Norwalk Police Department at 6:30 PM tonight.

This particular "Karen" believes that, "the goal of ICE is not just to terrorize our immigrant neighbors but to terrorize all of us."

We at the Centinal, however, extend our gratitude to the federal law enforcement officers who are helping to make our state safe again by doing the dangerous job of removing criminal illegals.
