West Hartford Town Council Candidate Ben Lewis (R) and his campaign manager Ari Schaffer just got attacked by a "tolerant" and "inclusive" man who appears to be a democrat.
The pair were sitting outside enjoying a coffee and talking politics.
They got approached by a foul-mouthed man who was reading a sensational social media headline out loud about the need for "Killary and Ovomit" to face a "firing squad for treason" as he approached their table, and asked if the Republicans thought it was a "good idea."
"I don't know why you are assuming we share every opinion you see on the internet," said Schaffer who politely asked the man to leave them alone so they could get back to their coffee.
"Don't hide behind him or your yarmulke, which you're f*cking," the man said before he stopped mid-sentence to spit at Schaffer simply for wearing a yarmulke. "I feel bad for you," the man said.
The man, who later said his last name was "Levine", asked for the Republicans' names in an attempt to determine whether their names sounded Jewish, and pointed out that he had been attacked by "you people" before.
Levine admitted he approached the Republicans because he overheard them talking about Republican politics. He proceeded to get into the Republicans' faces, asking if they knew any immigrants, migrants or refugees the way that he did, allegedly as an attorney who has done immigration work.
After swearing and complaining a bit more, Levine alleged the two Republicans were "part of it" -- meaning part of MAGA and Trump world -- and called them "vile" for not denouncing Trump.
At one point Levine asked if they knew immigrants, or immigrants just mowed the lawn on their golf course.
Levine's grand closing after the totally unprovoked attack was to accuse the Republicans of promoting fascism.
Because that's all they've got left, outside of a nasty case of TDS, that is.
