Hundreds of people crowded into the lawn in front of the Havemeyer building on Greenwich Avenue to protest our favorite president ever.

Police estimated around 300-400 protesters assembled in Greenwich, but the assigned "crowd counters" from Indivisible said it was anywhere from 500-1,000.

Indivisible Greenwich passed out free sign making materials and noisemakers.

Wonder if that means they were lucky enough to "earn" one of those grants Indivisible was handing out? Or if any of the local organizers are on the payroll?

The well-funded "No Kings" protests all followed carefully detailed instructions provided in advance by their masters: dress in yellow, play loud music and make it fun, print out "professionally designed" signs, bring an American flag, follow the speaker messaging, and if all else fails, call the special "No Kings" hotline for advice.

Heck, they even had a handbook of chants and songs once again, just ignore the grammar.

The long list of partners for the second "No Kings" was like a who's who of progressive organizations, with labor unions (e.g., NEA, AFT, SEIU, ACLU), activist groups (e.g., Indivisible, 50501, MoveOn), non-profits (e.g., League of Women Voters, Planned Parenthood, Greenpeace), and many more.

The NYC "No Kings" was officially sponsored by the Communist Party, while the DC protest advertised by Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy—who had to stand behind bulletproof glass apparently fearful of his own followers—featured Medhi Hasan... the guy who called non-Muslims animals and cattle, and compared homosexuals to pedophiles.

Getting back to Greenwich...

Indivisible Greenwich organizers Joanna Swomley and Nerlyn Pierson spoke to the crowd.

Pierson wanted "to push back against President Trump’s violent, authoritarian actions” and "share a simple message" that "we don’t do dictators or kings in America.”

She called Saturday's protest a "love America rally" -- well maybe a "love democrats rally" because there was plenty of hatred directed toward MAGA at that protest, and people wishing to "86-47" or "off Trump."

Of course, these were the talking points given to the Indivisibles in advance.

Governor Lamont reiterated that it was a "love America" rally, and claimed Trump "is forgetting what democracy looks like" -- something he called "incredibly dangerous."

He busted out a little Bob Marley, telling the crowd to "get up, stand up, don't give up the fight" and even started to sing a bit.

"They're trying to take away our liberty," said Lamont. "We're not gonna let that happen, not here in Connecticut."

Lamont said the shutdown is because "they want to take away your health insurance" but failed to mention that what "they" want to do is stop paying for healthcare for illegals—something which already cost Connecticut taxpayers at least $80 million.

Then Lamont complained about ICE going into car washes, Home Depot and courthouses.

"Get your damn mask off, what are you afraid of ICE," shouted a man who forced people to wear masks for years during the plandemic, even though the science never supported doing that. "You look like a terrorist!"

The loud "yeah! yeah!" you hear on the video at this point is democrat BET Member David Weisbrod who was standing right up front. BET Member Matt Deschamps and State Rep Hector Arzeno (D) were also present.

Weisbrod shouted "YES!" even louder when Lamont boasted that CT Attorney General Tong had sued the Trump Administration 36 times already.

During Lamont's talk, you can see a woman walk in front of the camera wearing an "86-47" sticker on her hat; she was very friendly with Congressman Jim Himes.

Then Lamont brought up Bob Marley again in his closing comments, prompting Weisbrod to chime in, "Stand up and fight! Get up and fight!" as Lamont again broke into song.

Himes was next to the mic.

Weisbrod couldn't scream "yeah, yeah, yeah" enough times for his buddy Himes who gave basically the exact same speech he delivered earlier that day in Stamford, and before that in Westport.

The performance Himes gave was dramatic and clearly well-rehearsed.

"And I wish I could tell you that I know it's going to get better before it gets worse, I don't know that," lamented Himes. "But we need to stand together."

At one point when Himes said, "we are better than this, we will prevail," Weisbrod shouted back, "we will prevail!"

After Himes said, "when it comes to love in our country, we stand united," Weisbrod shouted back, "United! United! Yeah!"

Then Himes told the crowd to follow his lead, and call their colleges and universities to tell them not to "bend the knee" to Trump. He told them to boycott and cancel companies that support Trump, prompting Weisbrod to scream again, "we will prevail!"

Himes closed with yet another cry of "we will prevail" as did Weisbrod, who is running for re-election.

A couple other speakers offered comments, including Dan Edelstein, the guy who has been organizing those silly "pop up" protests for weeks on end, first at the library and then by the gas station at Route 1 and Indian Field Road.

Then the protesters paraded down Greenwich Avenue and mucked up traffic for a while.

And the best part of all is that Donald Trump, the Troller-in-Chief, is STILL their president.

We hope you enjoy the photo gallery as much as we enjoyed the Facebook comments about the protest on the Greenwich Free Press "No Kings" article.

When we last looked, nearly all of the comments were pro-Trump, except for one from Mark Kordick who said, "Whole lot of pro-fascists commenting on here. Seems the little snowflakes get all melty when confronted with actual democracy."

Here is "what democracy looks like" to guys like Kordick.

P.S. The one person we spied in a MAGA hat at the protest is a lifelong Greenwich resident. He said he barely recognized anyone at that protest. And we noticed a lot of protesters piling into cars with New York plates, so maybe he's onto something.

Ha - you could see the forced 'ampedness' in both Lamont and Himes. You know that neither believes what they're saying about any dangers from Trump's Administration. But that is the role they have to play because they've each spent years whipping up the poor lost souls in their audience/base into a pathetic voting block. It's a 'Seinfeld Base' - the political base about NOTHING!
