A Connecticut man went viral earlier this week after he bypassed security to troll Senator Chris Murphy during his speech at the "People's State of the Union" spectacle funded by MoveOn.org.
"I snuck in the border, I snuck in the border. Go Trump! Go Trump! Hey Murphy you're a scumbag! You're a scumbag Murphy!" shouted the man before he was whisked off stage.
Turns out the man, Robert Vardaro of Brooklyn, CT, was wearing a body cam.
He just released the footage and a plea for financial support to help cover legal fees.
"I was arrested on multiple charges for protesting," wrote Vardaro. "This fund goes to help get lawyers for that and also sue those involved with lying to the police about what happened even though I have video proof showing those things never happened."
The video shows how Vardaro managed to blend in with the crowd and sneak across the "border" to troll Murphy. After he is escorted out, Vardaro laughs about the fact that there's a border for the event. Shortly after that he gets arrested.
Vardaro was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and threatening, intimidating or intentionally interfering with a government employee.
He was released and is due in court for a hearing April 20.
The police report determined that Vardaro pushed a man and "stormed his way on stage" before yelling into the microphone.
Here's Vardaro's full video of the incident.
