You just can't make this stuff up.

A "dance and fitness" center called "Work It Fit" that offers Pole Dancing, Seductive Dancing and Fitness Classes" set up a stripper pole in Veteran's Memorial Park for the "family friendly" pride festival in Norwalk, and shared a video about it.

"Family friendly" apparently meant no age limit for the stripper pole.

If you thought that children swinging around a stripper pole would be the kind of thing that people would frown upon, or might even trigger a call to police, think again.

Norwalk Police had a booth at the festival, and didn't seem the least bit concerned about the children on the stripper pole. They were busy passing out goodies to passersby and decorating their police dog.

You can even see Norwalk's Mayor, Barbara Smyth, standing with the police for a photo op.

Smyth one-upped the police, though, with her own video about the festival.

She met up with other politicians, including Attorney General William Tong and State Senator Bob Duff. Then held a baby goat at the booth for Illume fertility, a business that helps "queer couples, single parents by choice, and trans and non-binary patients become parents through IUI, IVF, donor conception, and surrogacy."

One of the last images in Smyth's video is a big sign that says "I Love Norwalk Public Schools."

Attorney General Tong "had a wonderful time" at the festival.

So did US Senator Richard "Danang Dick" Blumenthal, who called it "an amazing celebration of great people for a vital cause."

The cause, Triangle Community Center, received $62,500 in "emergency funding" last year to "plug funding gaps" allegedly created by Trump Administration changes.

The United Church of Rowayton was "well represented" — and also apparently happy to celebrate pride with children.

Stamford's Temple Sinai, which also featured a child in its post about Pride in the Park, got a special visit from Governor Ned Lamont.

The "Free Mom Hugs" crew wore buttons from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest LGBT-interest activist organization and a huge political force.

According to Influence Watch, HRC pressures corporations, law firms, hospitals, and local governments "into implementing and expanding socially liberal policies, supporting Human Rights Campaign financially, and withdrawing support from conservative and religious organizations through implicit threats of low scores on its Corporate Equality Index, Healthcare Equality Index and Municipal Equality Index scorecards.”

There were provocatively dressed drag performers working the main stage.

And children watching from the audience.

Even the library had a table.

Perhaps the most child-friendly part of the festival was the booth sponsored by Melissa & Doug, a toy company that targets children up to 8 years old.
