• Dear Tom Homan And ICE, Thanks For Coming To Connecticut!

But will our local officials cooperate if ICE comes to Greenwich?

Last week, a group from Greenwich attended the inauguration in Washington, D.C., and despite the cold weather and last minute changes, we had an incredible time!

While standing in line for the absolutely AMAZING Victory Rally, we bumped into a gal who worked with Border Czar Tom Homan. We immediately started sharing stories about how bold and brazen the Democrats have been in Connecticut, and how Attorney General William Tong has been on a tour of the state, holding meetings with local mayors, superintendents, police chiefs and NGOs about how to "protect" illegal aliens from the Trump Administration using the state's TRUST Act.

We eagerly asked our new friend, "Does Tom Homan have Connecticut on his radar screen???"

She promised he did, and it looks like she was right!

All day long on Friday, Hartford's BLM 860 tweeted warnings about the alleged location of ICE in the state, even offering to show up and help thwart enforcement efforts by causing ICE to chase the wrong people.

Then over the weekend, a picture started to float on social media that suggested ICE was in Plantsville.

The Town of East Hartford posted a warning confirming that ICE agents had been "observed entering a home in East Hartford" and included "know your rights" advice.

So naturally, folks in Greenwich are wondering what happens if ICE comes here?

We already know how frustrated residents feel about illegal immigration and the state's "sanctuary" status.

Plus, illegal aliens have been implicated in recent burglaries (South American Theft gang in Greenwich), a nearby murder (Tren de Aragua in Stamford on Columbus Day), numerous car thefts, and even car accidents for that matter.

The worst part of all is knowing that police are prevented from recording citizenship status in paperwork, allowing accused criminals to more easily evade ICE.

Residents are now looking for local leadership to courageously stand up, and announce they will support federal immigration efforts.

We reached out to Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo, Police Chief Jim Heavey and Public Schools Superintendent Toni Jones last week, asking whether our local officials were planing on cooperating with ICE should they come to Greenwich.

It is imperative that the residents of Greenwich feel safe, especially after Greenwich resident and Governor, Ned Lamont, seemed to issue an open invitation on January 24th for illegal aliens to come to Connecticut.

Plus, since Ned made his invitation to illegals, people on social media have started sharing Lamont's Greenwich address, encouraging illegals to come to Greenwich to take Ned up on his offer.

We explicitly asked Camillo for a statement for this article, but he declined to respond to our emails. So did Jim Heavey and Toni Jones. If that changes we will be sure to let you know.

But considering that Camillo lacked the courage to vote against the TRUST Act when he was a state rep in Hartford, we assume he also lacks the courage to violate the TRUST Act and cooperate with ICE should they come to town.

We even sent Fred the letter that America First Legal sent to Lamont that detailed exactly how the TRUST Act violates federal immigration law in the hopes that it would give our local officials the courage to support the federal government's immigration efforts.

Stephen Miller, Trump's deputy chief of staff for policy and the founder of America First Legal, explained why it's so important to cooperate with the government's immigration efforts.

"We've seen, as you know, half a million children trafficked over a four-year period in the United States. This administration is going to investigate every instance of child trafficking, labor trafficking, sex trafficking, child smuggling, and all the attendant crimes involved in that," explained Miller.

"And our message to everyone in the country is to cooperate fully with Immigration and Customs Enforcement so that we can end the scourge of child trafficking and child abuse that has been endemic these last four years."

So why won't Camillo respond to our request to direct Greenwich Police to follow federal immigration law?

Don't our local officials care about protecting children more than they care about shielding illegal aliens from federal immigration enforcement?

    Oh wait...

These are the same people who failed to protect our children during covid, forcing them to be indoctrinated with fake science about masks and social distancing, outright lies about covid vaccines being "safe and effective", and don't even get us started on the DEI, critical race theory and library pornography in our schools!

Our children are our future and we should protect them at all costs!!!
