It has now been over a week since 65 Republican legislators called for a special session on the "Public Benefit" charge (aka an additional tax on hardworking citizens). Not one Democrat has signed the petition http://specialsessionct.com/ or, at the very least, come out publicly in support of addressing this issue.
This includes all three of our Greenwich State Representatives (Hector Arzeno, Rachel Khanna and Stephen Meskers). Much like how they sat on their collective hands when it came to protecting Greenwich’s local control of zoning, this has become the norm for the Greenwich Democrat delegation since their arrival in Hartford.
They are completely beholden to Hartford’s Democrat leadership and bureaucrats. They do not truly represent the people of their respective districts.
It is time for a change this November. Republicans and independent-minded unaffiliated voters must stand up and unite against Government overreach, out of control spending, excessive taxes, Hartford mandates, ridiculous energy costs, crippling small-business regulations, record inflation, and out of control traffic congestion. Connecticut, like so many other surrounding blue states, is long overdue for an injection of Common Sense into their State Houses.
As Greenwich Republican Candidate for CT’s 151st District Tod Laudonia states: “We have gone on long enough with elected officials who hold themselves above those who elected them. They are now in the business of governing the people where I feel we need to return to representing the people of the district who elected us.”
