The president of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Institute warns that the “massive epidemic of vaccine injuries” (MEVI) is an extensive problem the United States must address.

At a MEVI Round Table held Monday in Washington, D.C., Mark Gorton said in his keynote address that most American families have experienced vaccine injuries, but often fail to identify them as such – in part, because the mainstream media have ignored their pervasive existence.

“Until your publications acknowledge the reality of the massive epidemic of vaccine injury, you will be complicit in sickening the families of the people who trust you the most,” Gorton said – a statement that met with audience applause.

Currently, however, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has launched over 100 studies on vaccine injury, he continued, adding that “the dam that has held back the massive vaccine injury is breaking.”

The round table featured over a dozen well-known speakers and participants, among them Children’s Health Defense (CHD) CEO Mary Holland, Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) CEO Del Bigtree, Brownstone InstituteFellow Toby Rogers, and CHD Chief Scientific Officer Brian Hooker.

Speakers and panelists discussed issues such as the scope of current vaccine injuries, the effects of liability protection granted to vaccine manufacturers on the proliferation of recommended vaccines, and the links between vaccines and autism.

“Vaccines contain toxins, like aluminum and mercury,” Gorton said. “And these toxins attack the immune system, causing autoimmune diseases, like allergies, arthritis, asthma, eczema, and Type I diabetes.”

“The toxins in vaccines also attack the nervous system, leading to a host of neurodevelopmental diseases, like autism, ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, tics, and epilepsy,” Gorton continued. “The majority of all these conditions are vaccine injuries.”

“Injecting toxic metals into babies is insanity,” he asserted, but acknowledged, “in fairness,” some vaccines do “offer benefits.”

“The measles vaccine does reduce your chance of getting measles. The mumps vaccine does reduce your chance of getting the mumps,” he said. “But healthy immune systems generally fight off these diseases without much problem, and antibiotics can help in the most serious cases.”

Ultimately, “unvaccinated kids are much, much healthier than vaccinated kids,” he asserted.

Bigtree addressed the view that all vaccines should be removed from the market until proven safe and effective – a perspective he called “unrealistic.”

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., he said, “has no intention of erasing the vaccine program from existence,” despite accusations to the contrary.

Instead, the host of The HighWire stressed informed consent and giving people the choice over whether they want to vaccinate as a key thrust of the medical freedom movement.

Bigtree said it would not “be fair to move from a place where we’re being forced to inject our children with products even after we’ve done our own research and recognize that we have issues with them, to then turn around and say, ‘I’m going to force you to never use a vaccine because of my perspective of the science.’”

Holland urged round table attendees to sign the COVID Justice Resolution, a statement that acknowledges the COVID-19 pandemic response as “the most sweeping suspension of civil liberties in modern American history.”

“This resolution repudiates COVID-era overreach and affirms binding protections for liberty in any future public-health crisis,” its accompanying statement reads.

At the time of publication, the resolution had garnered 26.8 thousand signatures.

A recent poll commissioned by Health Freedom Defense Fund and the Brownstone Institute has found a supermajority of voters support health and medical freedom.

The poll has uncovered “remarkable supermajorities in favor of medical and health freedom, with numbers on objective questions exceeding 80 percent,” Leslie Manookian and Jeffrey A. Tucker wrote in a March 4th post at Brownstone.

Conducted in late February by Zogby Strategies, the survey reached out to 1,000 registered voters, with 93.6% described as “definitely or very likely to vote.” Participants broke down along party lines with 37% Republican, 36% Democrat, and 27% Independent voters.

Among the key findings, as described by Manookian and Tucker, were:

    • Right to refuse medical treatment generally: 87.9% agree (58.8% strongly).
    • Right to make one’s own medical choices as a basic human right protected by law: 87.2% agree (59.5% strongly).
    • Doctors should discuss vaccine concerns openly without fear of medical board backlash: 88.1% agree (64.5% strongly — one of the highest “strongly agree” levels in the survey).
    • Right to refuse vaccines for adults: 80.4% agree (50.5% strongly).
    • Personal medical/vaccine decisions should never lead to employment denial: 70.6% agree (47.3% strongly).
    • Parents’ right to refuse vaccines for children/dependents: 65.7% agree — still a clear majority, but softer than adult refusal (37.4% strongly agree vs. 50.5% for adults).

Brownstone’s Rogers acknowledged during the round table that America is experiencing an “upheaval” and a “paradigm shift,” away from implicit trust in establishment medicine – which extols the safety and effectiveness of vaccines – to a paradigm that is more accurate.

“Paradigm shifts are painful,” he added.
