Senator Ron Johnson just dropped another bombshell report exposing how top officials in the Biden Administration deliberately ignored and suppressed clear safety signals for covid shots.
They knew the algorithm powering the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) was masking problems. They were shown a superior method for detecting safety signals that actually worked and totally ignored it!
"They were shown an updated algorithm that signaled serious adverse events, but they refused to use it," wrote Senator Johnson. "Their cover-up jeopardized the health of millions of Americans."
Starting in early 2021, Dr. Ana Szarfman—a senior medical officer and safety data mining developer at the FDA—applied an improved data analysis technique that quickly flagged statistically significant safety signals for covid shots.
Not only did FDA officials ignore her, but they also told her to stop doing the analysis. Her work uncovered roughly 25 adverse events with strong signals, including sudden cardiac death, Bell’s palsy, and pulmonary infarction.
Szarfman shared her findings with senior FDA officials on multiple occasions: April 2021, May 2021, and July 2021. The updated analysis kept revealing more red flags — acute myocardial infarction linked to Moderna and Pfizer shots, embolism and thrombosis with Janssen (“Johnson & Johnson”) and Pfizer, dementia with Pfizer, and “death and sudden death” with Moderna and Pfizer.
Instead of warning the public, the Biden administration seemed more concerned about Szarfman's analysis than the actual risks it had identified. In April 2021, after Szarfman highlighted flaws in the existing system, a senior FDA official actually emailed colleagues with this gem: “[B]efore we potentially reach out to Ana, we should meet internally—many considerations not suited to email…”

By May 2021, senior officials in FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER, the unit responsible for covid shot safety surveillance) directed Szarfman to cease her analysis. Dr. Peter Marks, the covid vaccine shill who led CBER, warned that the findings could “create erroneous conflicts that feed into anti-vaccination rhetoric.”
They kept doing the analysis anyway.
By May 24, 2021, VAERS was already signaling for myocarditis for the age groups 16-17 years and 18-24 years. While the Biden Administration failed to notify the public about the risks of cardiac events from covid shots, Greenwich Patriots did try to warn you with the Truth Truck, starting on May 14, 2021, and our newsletter.
In June and July 2021, Szarfman flagged clear signals for acute myocardial infarction and "increased mortality." Nothing happened. She kept advocating for the better data mining method into September 2021. The FDA never made any adjustments to its model based on Szarfman's recommendation.
Szarfman and DuMouchel then co-authored a paper in June 2022 on the data mining technique, stating that masking “is roughly eight times more likely to occur with COVID-19 vaccines than with other vaccines.”
FDA officials were not exactly happy about that paper.
Dr. Richard Forshee, then-Deputy Director of CBER’s Office of Biostatistics and Pharmacovigilance, complained to Dr. Marks about “a number of issues with the paper and its findings."
This was not an isolated decision. It actually was part of a broader effort to restrict access to the covid data mining analyses in general. It turns out that in August 2021, the FDA planned to limit distribution of covid shot data “largely for data security reasons.” The last report went out on July 12, 2022.
FDA’s Dr. Narayan Nair later admitted that he had suggested to the CDC that they stop distributing the reports. Nair said they would keep mining the data internally, but would only notify CDC if something truly needed attention.
Emails among CDC officials reveal a more cynical reason behind FDA’s decision to stop distributing its data mining reports. One CDC official noted, “I think that because of the FOIAs [Freedom of Information Act requests] we may have asked FDA to stop sending these weekly data mining outputs."
Of course, both Children's Health Defense and Informed Consent Action Network had already submitted FOIA's for that data before the reports stopped being produced. That timing, Senator Johnson noted, was “particularly suspect.”
"The notion that Biden health officials took steps to limit its distribution of COVID-19 vaccine safety data in order to avoid more internal review or public scrutiny is completely unacceptable," the report says.
