It's all about identity politics for Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont who just highlighted Olympic gymnast Simone Biles for loving her "black job".

What exactly is a black job?

How is that different from a white job? Or a brown job?

Are people with different skin colors not able to dominate gymnastics? Is that that suggestion?

Can you imagine the reaction that Democrats would have right now if Donald Trump shared a photo of a white woman winning a medal, tagging her with a little American Flag, and congratulating her for dominating in her "white job"?

Not to belittle the incredible accomplishments of Ms. Biles.

All of the accolades that she's the "GOAT" are certainly well deserved!

But it would be absurd to think she achieved excellence in gymnastics because of the color of her skin.

Ms. Biles maintains a holistic training and fitness regime along with a strict diet. She wakes up, gets ready and practices at the gym for three hours. After a lunch break, she's back at the gym for another three hours of training. She winds down in the evening with some therapy to help her body recover. She does this at least five times a week. It's a tough schedule.

And when it was her turn in the spotlight, Ms. Biles performed beautifully -- her hard work, dedication and commitment paid off. Not her skin color.

Enough of the race-based division tactics!

    CT Centinal Staff Writer,

You either didn't do your homework or you are shaping a perception and it is off-putting.
Biles' tweet was a response to the claim by President Trump during an interview that illegal immigrants are taking 'Black Jobs'.
Context is king. There is a frank connotation in the label.
When anyone in the public arena, even American patriots, step in the gutter, it ought not be misrepresented.
Further, operating in that gutter is an indication of character.

And as a result, by improperly denigrating Lamont, you unwittingly raise him - and lower the righteous opposition.

    One job and ya failed

Miss the point much there, Sparky?
