Here they go again!
The No Kings protests are barely over, and the Indivisibles and their progressive activist friends are already gearing up for their next big protest in July.
The same playbook has been deployed over and over again with each of the monthly protests which, by the way, have been fully sanctioned by the democrat party:
Now on July 17th, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis's passing, it's Good Trouble Lives On - "A national day of action to respond to the attacks on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration."
The best practices for astroturfed democrat protests seem to include:
This obviously takes a lot of planning, coordination, infrastructure and money.
The "Good Trouble Lives On" protest is even encouraging organizations, especially organizations that are BIPOC-led or serve BIPOC communities, to apply for a "mini-grant" ranging from $200 to $2,000 to help with the cost of the protest.
How thoughtful!
Sponsors of Good Trouble include Indivisible, Public Citizen, Black Voters Matter, the League of Women Voters, the National Urban League, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and many others -- and likely more will join the coalition as July 17th approaches.
You can see in the Pearl Project's Protest Industry Database that many of these organizations have sponsored previous protests, too.
Protest organizers are reminded of the importance of getting media coverage, and about keeping the messaging consistent. They are even told exactly what to post on social media.
If you've never heard an organizing call before, take a few minutes to check out this clip (on the bottom of the below post) from June 16th's "Good Trouble" call, it's really special.
They're "gonna make good trouble, because good trouble lives on..."
Indeed, "Good Trouble" will probably live on, just like "No Kings" has lived on -- as the butt of the joke, getting widely mocked and derided on social media and in memes.
And don't forget the morally superior democrat town committee members and democrat political candidates who thought it wise to appear in photographs sporting an "86-47" threat to President Trump -- those folks should seek mental health assistance.
