Ah yes, the Democratic Party — freeing the oppressed one photo op at a time, then putting them straight to work under the table.

These days, you can't throw a reusable straw without hitting a liberal praising “undocumented workers” for their resilience… while paying them in cash and avoiding eye contact. And as always, they swear it's about compassion. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll find it’s less about freedom — and more about free labor.

Freedom Ain’t Free (But the Labor Sure Is)

Let’s be honest: when Democrats say, “These immigrants are doing the jobs Americans won’t do,” what they really mean is, “These are jobs I would never reduce myself to do.”

You think Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas — known for her “glaring and flaring” in committee hearings — is going to strap on steel-toe boots and fix drywall? Please. She’s more likely to throw a fit about “dehumanizing rhetoric” while her pool is cleaned by someone named Jorge who hasn’t slept in a real bed in two years.

Crockett says she fights for “brown bodies,” but the only brown bodies that matter to her are the ones cleaning the hotel room after her latest fundraising retreat.

Maxwell Frost & Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Live From Alligator Alcatraz

In a made-for-Twitter moment, Reps. Maxwell Frost and Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently visited a Florida ICE detention facility nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz” — because nothing says “we care about immigrants” like going to visit gang affiliated, child traffickers with MS-13 tattoos.

After their carefully choreographed walk-through, Wasserman Schultz declared the facility “dehumanizing,” calling for its immediate closure. Frost chimed in, describing the place as “a symbol of our broken system.”

Broken? Maybe. But neither of them offered to take anyone home or sponsor a path to citizenship. No, no — they just issued a press release, took a few selfies, and hopped back into their taxpayer-funded SUVs, knowing full well those same migrants would end up making hotel beds by the end of the week.

In other words: “We’ve seen enough! Now let’s get out of here before the smell of sweat and irony clings to our jackets.”

Hank Johnson: Islands, Irony & Invisible Immigrants

Rep. Hank Johnson, a legend in the annals of dumb things said aloud, once worried Guam would “tip over and capsize” due to overpopulation. (Yes, he really said that.)

These days, he’s concerned ICE raids are too aggressive and that we must treat undocumented immigrants with dignity. That’s rich coming from a guy who, like his colleagues, never seems to invite the dignified undocumented to his home for dinner — unless they’re serving it.

Robert Garcia: From Red Carpets to Real Displacement

Rep. Robert Garcia tweets more about Beyoncé and RuPaul than immigration, but when pressed, he’ll call ICE “inhumane” and “xenophobic.” Still waiting on his plan to fix the system though — so far, he’s just really into making sure drag brunch isn’t deported.

Garcia toured the Bergen County ICE facility with other Democrats recently, grimacing like he’d just been told brunch was canceled. Afterwards, he made sure to tweet about the “unacceptable conditions,” then likely headed off to a rooftop party catered by the same immigrants he claims to protect.

Kelly Osbourne: When Elitism Slips Out Loud

And then there’s Kelly Osbourne, whose infamous moment on The View lives in tone-deaf infamy:

> “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”

Rosie Perez tried to save her, but Kelly had already pulled back the curtain. That statement wasn’t a slip-up — it was an accidental confession. Because at the end of the day, liberal elites don’t see immigrants. They see servants.

ICE Tours & Virtue Signals

These ICE facility visits — from Rep. Melanie Stansbury to Robert Menendez Jr. — have become predictable political theater. Grim-faced lawmakers, clipboard in hand, nodding solemnly at security cameras, before issuing statements about “the humanity we must protect.”

Then it’s back to D.C., where the only undocumented workers they’ll see are the ones serving them at private luncheons.

Meanwhile, towns across America are flooded with migrants. Hotels become makeshift shelters. Hospitals are strained. Schools can't keep up. But no worries — the media calls any questions about that "misinformation." And Democrats? They just throw more money at NGOs and slap a “No Human is Illegal” bumper sticker on their Prius.

Welcome to the New Plantation

Let’s call it what it is: this isn’t immigration reform. It’s outsourcing guilt.

The modern Democratic Party has reinvented the plantation system. The faces are different, the slogans are woke, and the chains are invisible — but the power dynamic remains the same.

They’re not freeing anyone. They’re just finding a new underclass to do the work they won’t — and patting themselves on the back while it happens.

So, next time you hear a Democrat say, “They’re just here for a better life,” ask them: Whose life are you really improving?
