In addition to primary season, there are special election petitions going on in Fairfield. This message is especially for the Fairfield Residents on here and anyone who knows a registered voter in Fairfield. - If you care about Democracy - Send this to at least one person in Fairfield and if you live in Fairfield send it to 5.
Earlier this year, First Selectman Gerber passed away due to complications of brain surgery.
The process to fill this unforeseen vacancy first gives the Board of Selectmen an opportunity to appoint a successor within Fairfield’s Charter within 30-days. After the 30-day period, which has passed, Connecticut State Law takes over and provides that a small group of party insiders choose the next leader of Fairfield which is against the democratic principles that we stand for.

For those of you who get these emails, you know this father and son duo that has been all about taking it to the people on the most grass roots approach.
We started with petitions to get on the ballot in 2022. In 2024 we qualified without petitions and went hard at it to win a primary by taking it to the people.
The Mantra that applies to either party when it comes to grassroots efforts – Parties Do Not Matter, People Do – and that is the importance of knocking on doors and informing voters (as the papers and rest of media do not want to broadcast elections here in Connecticut).
The Case for a Special Election - Especially in Fairfield
