In the aftermath of a severe thunderstorm across the state of Connecticut last evening, many are without power.

Strong winds, heavy rain, hail, and downed trees caused widespread outages, peaking at over 90,000–95,000 Eversource customers without power. As of the latest updates (around 60,000+ total customers still affected statewide, mostly Eversource), restoration is progressing but uneven—some areas face multi-day delays.

You would have thought that with all those massive electric service fee increases over the last several years, Connecticut would have a first class infrastructure repair team on call, and ready for a rapid response.

Sadly, that is not the case.

It's pathetic actually. Many areas in Fairfield have yet to see a repair truck.

Complaints about response times are common after big storms in CT (past events like blizzards or Isaias led to investigations).

One thing is for sure, the government of Ned Lamont is not concerned about Connecticut residents and electric power. He's concerned about destroying local zoning laws and concentrating power in Hartford to enact their Marxist oligargich plans for the state.

Many of us have lived in areas where hurricanes are common and we've seen much better restoration times than Connecticut, which in itself has a history of violent storms.

You would think Connecticut would be able to do better; but hey, there are transgender programs and drag queen shows for kids to fund.
