His policies were based on politics, not medical data

Most readers know Dr. Anthony Fauci as the architect of restrictions placed on the country during the COVID epidemic. But many do not realize that as a young medical bureaucrat, he promulgated the “4H” risk factors of the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s - “Homosexuals, Heroin Addicts, Hemophiliacs and Haitians.”

Here is a young Dr. Fauci presented stating Haitians are a risk group for AIDS.

Now Dr. Fauci is a medical doctor. To name Haitians as a risk group for AIDS was pure nonsense. There is no biological reason that Haitians were at a higher risk for AIDS. Dr. Fauci certainly knew this. So why did he do this?

Politics.

As one Haitian physician, Dr. Ary Bordes stated: “Who better to blame for AIDS than a poor black nation whose populace did not speak English?”

I was a volunteer physician in Haiti in 1984 and treated numerous AIDS patients and it was obvious to me along with my Haitian physician colleagues why AIDS was present. It was brought to Haiti by gay American tourists seeking what they termed “Nubian delights.” The vast majority of patients I treated for AIDS were homosexual prostitutes. And they all died.

Dr. Fauci undoubtably knew this. Anyone with half a brain knew this. So why blame Haiti? Because Dr. Fauci knew that if he spoke the truth, he would have been bashed by the increasingly powerful gay rights movement who did wish to have their reprehensible behavior publicized. Gays were much more politically powerful than Haitians.

Fast forward to the COVID epidemic. Dr. Fauci’s once jet black hair is now gray, but he is still a political animal. And he kept diaries - over 1000 pages of them that thanks to Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky – who is also a physician, are now public knowledge.

And the Fauci’s entries reveal a man who enjoyed media flattery and celebrity status, but with little interest in objective data regarding COVID. One telling entry states: “POTUS [Donald Trump] seems to be enamored of me.”

Other entries include:

“All my friends keep saying I am a national hero.”

“Donuts are being named after me; T shirts have my picture on them.”

“I did all 5 Sunday Shows”

But at some point, Fauci realized that he could be instrumental in defeating Trump, and that is when he became a media darling. But President Trump was suckered into listening to Fauci’s recommendations anyway. Thus, schools were closed, businesses shut down, and the economy collapsed. Meanwhile, President Trump printed trillions to subsidize businesses greatly increasing the national debt.

Other states followed suit with increasingly inane policies. In my home state of Connecticut, Governor Lamont forced the closure of small businesses but kept Walmart and Home Depot open. I guess the Governor thought that the COVID virus preferred to shop at smaller stores.

Governor Newsom of California allowed bars with nude dancers to stay open but closed churches. Perhaps he thought the virus was religious.

But the most hilarious event was public policy that prohibited people from assembling unless they were rioting against the George Floyd killing. Fauci even suggested that rioters use hand sanitizers before throwing Molotov cocktails. (Okay. I made this up, but you get the point).

People were forced to wear masks even though there was not a scintilla of evidence it prevented the spread. As far the recommendation of six feet of social distancing – pure speculation.

You can’t make this up.

One governor stood up to Fauci, Ron DeSantis of Florida. The result was that Florida’s economy continued to boom while migrating citizens escaping Blue State restrictions turned Florida from a swing state to a Red State.

Furthermore, Fauci, with the help of the media, suppressed doctors who disagreed with his policies.

But Fauci’s crowning achievement was to provide political cover to prevent large scale in-person voting. This allowed massive ballot harvesting in the swing states putting Joe Biden in the White House.

But as President Lincoln stated: “You can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” The American people eventually realized that the vast majority of the restrictions placed on them accomplished little. The death rates in that various states from COVID were similar, no matter what policies were employed. And then the knives came out for Fauci forcing President Biden to give him a blanket pardon.

This culminated recently with Fauci being forced to testify to Congress. All he did was plead the Fifth Amendment over one hundred times as he was questioned not only about his policies, but about the money he made exploiting his celebrity.

Conservatives who dislike Fauci wish he would get his comeuppance. But he won’t. He is an 85-year-old man and any attempt to punish him will result in some liberal judge exonerating him. The ruling class protects its own.

But conservatives should not despair. If Fauci had not helped Biden win the White House, Trump would not be president now. Furthermore, when the media and politically inspired bureaucrats now state, “trust the science,” the average voter now knows that he is being conned. Public skepticism has increased on so-called other “settled science” scams such as climate change.

And when Fauci walks into a public place such as a restaurant and complains that his reservation is not being honored, the maître d’ may respond. “I plead the Fifth.”
