The co-founder of Greater Danbury Greater Danbury Area Unites for Immigrants ("GDA"), Juan Fonseca Tapia, was back at it again last week, protesting the actions of federal immigration agents in Connecticut on August 20th.

Fonseca Tapia, who had a run-in with ICE after allegedly following agents earlier this month, led the protest in front of the Danbury Courthouse.

GDA wanted to "make it clear" that it wants "ICE out of Connecticut."

Fonseca Tapia got quite a bit worked up at the protest, shouting that "Danbury has become the epicenter of state terror" in Connecticut, thanks to the government's "well-funded plan" to "disappear" people off the streets.

He's referencing ICE's four-day "Operation Broken Trust" which recently netted 65 illegals in Connecticut -- nearly half of whom had been convicted or charged in the U.S. with serious crimes, including kidnapping, assault, drug offenses, weapons violations, and sex crimes.

"The goal is not safety or security, the end goal is creating a white ethnostate. The end goal is ethnic cleansing," claimed Fonseca Tapia. "The goal is full takeover of our streets, our communities and our country."

At one point Fonseca Tapia called for, "leaders who are willing to stand next to us and to put their bodies in the line to keep our families safe, to stop the construction of concentration camps... leaders who are willing to push the line in real ways.”

Sen. Richard "Danang Dick" Blumenthal was standing right behind him.

Fonseca Tapia spoke directly to Blumenthal, who had been at a press conference earlier that day to support State Rep. Corey Paris over allegedly doxxing ICE.

At the earlier event, Blumenthal announced that he planned to open an investigation by the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations into whether ICE has been "exceeding its power" and "using unwarranted and excessive force" for "seizing people" off the streets..

"We know that you condemned this fascist administration and the terror the they inflict in our community," Fonseca Tapia said to Blumenthal, who nodded along in agreement. "But on behalf of my community, I am asking you, what are you going to do to keep our families safe?"

Blumenthal promptly thanked Fonseca Tapia for bringing the community together, and asked the crowd if they were ready to fight. Then you could hear one man shout back, "you gonna fight for Israel, you piece of shit?"

“I am beginning an investigation of what ICE is doing on the streets,” Blumenthal said, lamenting that he's in the "minority party" now so he can't "order" anything. “But I can begin an investigation that will bring to light who should be held accountable, and I'm going to do it. I will do everything in my power as an elected official to make the American people know that what's happening with masked, unidentified, unmarked agents, seizing people, knocking them to the street, injuring them, tasing them, is not America. And we will stop it."

“We will stop it through the kind of justice that you are bringing to America today,” Blumenthal pledged.

Then he thanked Fonseca Tapia, the guy who said that the "fascist" Trump Administration was using ICE for "ethnic cleansing" to pave the way for a "white ethnostate" complete with "concentration camps."

After Blumenthal closed his remarks with a little Spanish, the crowd started to chant, "Sí, se puede. Sí, se puede," which is Spanish for "Yes, you can"; it's also the motto of the United Farm Workers of America.

The protest was sponsored by a long list of progressive organizations, including:
