Act Local NWCT, an Indivisible group, is hosting a Town Hall January 27th in New Milford, Connecticut "to discuss issues of importance to our community before the start of the legislative session."
The group invited State Senators Julie Kushner (D) and Stephen Harding (R) and State Reps. Pat Callahan, Bill Buckbee (R) and Jason Buchsbaum (R).
Two of the republicans, Reps. Buckbee and Buchsbaum, declined.
However, the two other republicans, State Senate Minority Leader Harding and State Rep. Callahan, actually agreed to speak at the Indivisible event.
Mind you, Indivisible's Act Local NWCT is one of the many groups calling for "abolishing ICE" and getting "ICE OUT for good."
Act Local NWCT told members to pack the room on Jan 27th with "like minded folks" who agree with Indivisible's progressive, Trump-hating view of the world.
Why would any republicans bother to speak at an Indivisible event, let alone the State Sen. Minority Leader? What kind of message does that send?
Here is the flyer for the Town Hall, which is currently full.
The people at Act Local NWCT have been protesting for basically a year now, angry about everything Trump.
They were even lined up in the snow over the weekend, chanting "no justice, no peace" and carrying signs likening Trump to Hitler and ICE agents to "gestapo nazis".
Reminder for the NWCT Indivisibles...
ICE is removing criminal illegals, like child sex offenders.
What exactly is wrong with that?
