The New London Police Department reported that on Saturday, 4/25/26, at approximately 10:49 p.m., it was contacted by an individual who expressed concern about the shooting that occurred at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner (WHCD) earlier in the evening.

NLPD said the reporting individual wanted to share information they believed to be pertinent to the matter.

Immediately upon reviewing the information received, New London Police contacted federal law enforcement partners. The individual was subsequently interviewed by both New London Police and federal law enforcement.

The investigation by New London Police in this matter is no longer active.

Meanwhile, the manifesto for the gunman, "Cole ‘coldForce’ ‘Friendly Federal Assassin’ Allen,” has been released per the New York Post. In the manifesto, the 31-year-old former "teacher of the month" and Kamala Harris donor, said he is "no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes."

Allen maintained a BlueSky account filled with leftist propaganda, joined "No Kings" protests, and was reportedly part of a far left group called the "Wide Awakes." The shooter also called Vice President Vance a "piece of shit," attacked Catholicism, was obsessed with J6 and the Epstein files, and considered President Trump a Nazi and a traitor.

Senator Richard Blumenthal said that "tragedy was averted" thanks to the swift actions of law enforcement. "Violence has no place in our politics—or anywhere," he wrote.

Lamont's comments sounded similar: "Violence has no place in our democracy. Relieved that everyone at last night's white House Correspondents' Dinner is safe. Grateful for the brave Secret Service officers and law enforcement who acted quickly to protect lives."

Hayes said, "This type of violence is never acceptable and no ideological differences can ever justify it."

Congressman John Larson said, "I'm grateful no one was hurt and thank law enforcement for acting swiftly. No one should have to fear for their lives at a public event. This scourge of threats and violence must end."

Toward that end democrats like Larson need to stop likening Trump to Hitler, since that is what is actually helping to "build a permission structure for unstable people" to follow through on threats of violence.

The usually vocal Senator Chris Murphy hadn't posted comments about the shooting on social media at the time of this writing, but it's interesting to note that he was just coincidentally in Allen's town, Torrance, California, to join a "No Kings" protest.

By the way, some progressives in Connecticut, including Indivisible members and BLM860 in Hartford are calling the shooting staged, and even suggesting it was faked to justify the need for a secure White House Ballroom.

Then there's Jimmy Kimmel, who joked about First Lady Melania Trump glowing "like an expectant widow" at his mock White House Correspondents' Dinner.

The comments about it being "staged" are coming from both sides.
