ICE Boston conducted a targeted immigration enforcement operation the week of Aug. 24 in southern Connecticut to arrest multiple criminal illegal aliens, many of whom were recently released from jail by sanctuary politicians who refused to honor ICE’s immigration detainers. In total, 118 illegal aliens were arrested during the four-day operation. 

Among the 118 illegal aliens arrested, numerous have been charged with crimes that range from sexual assault against a child, child abuse, weapons charges, drug dealing and assault.

Those arrested include the following:

Harvin Rivera-Guardado, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras who was convicted of sexual assault risking injury to child. He wassentenced to 15 years in prison. 

Jason Tocagon-Leon, a criminal illegal alien from Ecuadorwith pending criminal charges for two counts of risk of injury to a child, breach of peace and assault.

Lenny Guitierrez-Pichardo, a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic convicted of selling hallucinogens or narcotics and selling or manufacturing cannabis. He was sentenced to five years in prison and currently has pending criminal charges for larceny and resisting arrest.

Arnulfo Nolberto Quizhpi-Sanchez, a criminal illegal alien from Ecuador with pending criminal charges for assault, disorderly conduct, threatening, criminal trespass and violation of conditions of release.

Edwin Marroquin, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala convicted of driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, obstructing governmental administration, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, carrying a dangerous weapon and criminal trespass.

“Sanctuary politicians in Connecticut have made it abundantly clear that they would rather stand with criminal illegal aliens such as Harvin Rivera-Guardado, a convicted sexual predator, than protect law-abiding American citizens,” said acting ICE Boston Field Office Director David T. Wesling. “While these politicians continue their performative and misguided attempts to obstruct our enforcement through absurd legislation such as the TRUST Act, ERO Boston will continue to protect Connecticut communities from these dangerous criminals.”
