The Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission has dismissed File No. 2025-062B against Aaron Bowman, Christopher Reddy and State Representative Anne Dauphinais after determining there was “insufficient evidence to establish the alleged violations.”

The complaint was filed by William Sayers, Benjamin Shaiken and Raymond Wishart and involved allegations concerning the three 2024 campaigns.

“It is disappointing to see an SEEC investigation used publicly to smear three campaigns when the allegations ultimately could not be established,” Bowman said. “The accusations traveled quickly. Now the record needs to travel just as far: the complaint was dismissed because there was insufficient evidence to establish the alleged violations.”

Bowman said Shaiken has filed four SEEC complaints against him personally. SEEC records independently confirm Shaiken as the complainant in File No. 2024-101 against Bowman and William Jenkins.

“An accusation is not a finding,” Bowman said. “When allegations are made publicly, the outcome deserves the same attention.”

“These were serious allegations against our campaigns,” Dauphinais said. “The SEEC investigated them and determined there was insufficient evidence to establish the alleged violations. Anyone who circulated the accusations should also acknowledge the final result.”

“The complaint was filed. The allegations were investigated. The evidence did not establish the violations. The complaint was dismissed,” Bowman said. “That is the record.”
