They apparently never thought Kamala Harris would lose.
And now there's not enough copium to go around, leading dozens of liberal and progressive activists and social justice organizations in the state to "show up" for communities they call "marginalized."
There was a rally in support of LGBTQIA+ lives in West Hartford over the weekend.
Well, democrat LGBTQIA+ lives, because conservative LGBTQIA+ lives were not included. Presumably they are just fine with Trump. And frankly they have every reason to be happy with Trump's win.
There was another weekend rally, this time in New Haven, with support from the Connecticut Democratic Socialists of America, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, several pro-Palestine groups, the Green Party, the New Haven Federation of Teachers, and others.
The rally was to fight for justice, defend rights and rally for "peace, workers and immigrants." And also to "hold space with organizations who are committed to the continuing struggle."
The struggle for more communism in Connecticut? Is that what they meant?
There was a rally today for immigrants who say their voices will not be silenced, and to make sure Connecticut remains a sanctuary for illegals.
The incoming Trump Administration welcomes legal immigration, but illegal immigration is another story.
Trump confirmed today he is prepared to declare a national emergency and use the military "to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program."

And there's a rally advertised by BLM860 for this coming Saturday, November 23rd, to demand lawmakers build a "real blue wall."
This particular community of activists is demanding "housing, healthcare, prison reform, war divestment, climate action, cannabis equity, universal school lunches, LGBTQ protections, fully funded schools and an end to austerity in Connecticut."
Is that all?
State Rep. Anne Hughes will be speaking at the "real blue wall" rally, along with a number of racial, social and climate justice activists, and an equity coach who also helped organize the LGBTQIA+ rally in West Hartford.
It's worth noting State Rep. Hughes was endorsed by the Working Families Party ("CT WFP") this year.
One of the endorsement questions asked whether candidates supported "non-citizen voting in their local elections"... another asked if candidates supported expanding Husky insurance to ALL illegals.
CT WFP endorsed candidates are expected to "carry a fierce determination" for making "transformative change" which sounds exactly like what the "real blue wall" folks, including State Rep. Hughes, will be demanding at Saturday's rally.
