"I am honored and grateful to receive the endorsement of an incredible group of 16 principled republicans from Greenwich," said Tod Laudonia, the state rep candidate for the 151st district in Connecticut. "It means so much to me to have the support of my friends and neighbors in D12, North Mianus."
The endorsement highlights Laudonia's strongly held belief that Greenwich should be able to retain its ability to "self-govern on local issues such as zoning and those that impact our quality of life" instead of rolling over and bowing to the will of Hartford.
The group of 16 republicans highlighted six key issues for voters to consider this election:
Laudonia is facing off against incumbent State Rep. Hector Arzeno, a one-term representative with a radical left track record, having voted with his party nearly 100% of the time.
Arzeno has voted against local control of zoning, he's voted to stop police from fingerprinting young criminals, he's voted against election integrity on multiple issues and he's voted for breaking budget agreements. It would not be a surprise if Arzeno voted in favor of a new state property tax, either, based on his track record.
"I want to keep Greenwich Greenwich," says Laudonia, whose family has lived in the 151st district for over 100 years. The former tax collector is now on a mission to preserve the town from "ever-encroaching state control."
“We are a government of the people, and we have strayed,” warned Laudonia.
"Thank you, once again, to my fellow Republicans, including David Alfano, Fred DeCaro, Diane Chiappetta-Fox, Rick Kriskey, David Lancaster, Andrew Walsh, Ashley Turner, Anita Brytus, Berrin Snyder, Fred Lorthioir, Cristie Reid, Sam Romeo, Nicole Pate, Bob May, Ryan Amelio, and Charles “Ed” Thivierge for your powerful endorsement," said Laudonia. "Together, we will preserve Greenwich!"
