President Donald Trump just commuted the sentence of "somewhat of a rogue," George Santos, who had been "forced to serve seven years in prison."
He cited Connecticut Senator Richard "Da Nang Dick" Blumenthal's lies "for almost twenty years" that he served in Vietnam as the inspiration for the move.
"He was a COMPLETE AND TOTAL FRAUD," Trump wrote about Blumenthal. "He never went to Vietnam, he never saw Vietnam, he never experienced the Battles there, or anywhere else. His War Hero status, and even minimal service in our Military, was totally and completely MADE UP."
Trump said Blumenthal's actions were "far worse" than what Santos did.
"George has been in solitary confinement for long stretches of time, and by all accounts, has been horribly mistreated," wrote Trump, indicating he just signed a Commutation for Santos and wished him a great life.
