An independent undercover reporter has revealed troubling tactics used to influence student voting at UConn's Storrs campus—we seem to have a election integrity issue spanning from Mansfield to Bridgeport—where there were five Bridgeport Democrats charged with 150 election related crimes.

The UConn investigation found that the Mansfield Democratic Town Committee paid for pizza, shuttle rides, and on campus outreach door hangers in dorms to draw in student voters. In a UConn Today-published article, one student admitted, “If there’s one thing we know that can get college students to participate in things, it’s free food.”

“This isn’t about civic engagement—it’s about political manipulation,” said Aaron Bowman. “As Frederick Douglass taught, liberty requires responsibility. When votes are harvested through gimmicks, the voice of working families and permanent residents are drowned out.”

"With a significant number of students, most of whom are temporary residents, being recruited to vote on policies possessing the potential to impact Mansfield families for the next decade, the very fabric of the integrity of our local elections is under severe threat," said Bowman. "I am calling on state officials and election authorities to investigate these practices immediately and ensure that Mansfield’s elections remain lawful, and secure."
