It all started yesterday when Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal had an opportunity to question Attorney General Pam Bondi, and accused her of impropriety.
She quickly pointed out that Blumenthal lied about serving in active combat in Vietnam, and chastised him for challenging her integrity.
"Senator Blumenthal, I cannot believe that you would accuse me of impropriety when you lied about your military service. I am not a liar. You lied, you admitted you lied to be elected a U.S. senator. You lied, how dare you. I'm a career prosecutor,” exclaimed Bondi. “Don't you ever challenge my integrity. I have abided by every ethic standard. Do not question my ability to be fair and impartial as Attorney General.”
Blumenthal went on CNN last night to defend the "stolen valor" attack.
"Her personal attack on me was discredited 15 years ago, and largely like others, distorted and deceptive, and was part of a strategy lashing out because she had no answers or wanted to avoid answering questions," said Blumenthal before he accused Bondi of "ducking, evading and avoiding" his questions.

Trump responded to the blow-up between Bondi and Blumenthal last night on social media.
"Sanctimonious Richard "Da Nang Dick" Blumenthal, perhaps the biggest "joke" in the United States Senate, is at it again! "Dick" lied until the midpoint of his political career, convincing everyone, in particular the Fake News Media, that he was a great "War Hero" who lived on the precipice of death in the jungles of Vietnam," wrote Trump. "And then it happened, Blumenthal was found out to be a FRAUD."
Trump went on to suggest that Blumenthal "should be investigated, and Justice should be sought" over the stolen valor, especially since "there is a Congressman sitting in prison for lying about his past during a campaign."
Today, during the ANTIFA roundtable discussion, Trump praised AG Bondi for exposing some of the "fake" and "terrible" senators, like Blumenthal.
Then Trump once again slammed Blumenthal over his "phony war record."
"For 20 years he talked about what a hero he was and it turned out he never went to Vietnam. For 20 years he talked about being a hero in Vietnam then it was exposed when he said what platoon he was with, and it was exposed that somebody was watching from that particular platoon. They 'said he was never with us' and then he went out and he cried and he was ready to drop out of the election," explained Trump, calling Blumenthal's actions "disgraceful."
Trump brought up the story about the "Congressman sitting in prison" for doing something "pretty bad" and argued that what "Da Nang Dick" did -- stealing valor for 20 years -- was much worse.
