Roger Krone, the CEO of the Boy Scouts of America, has announced that it is changing names to "Scouting America" to make the organization more inclusive.

"It sends this really strong message to everyone in America that they can bring their authentic self, they can be who they are, and they will be welcomed here," said Krone.

For those who balked at the change, Krone indicated that membership has been at historic lows, so he feels it's his job to "reduce all of the possible barriers" so that people accept the Scouts "as an organization" and join.

In 2011, there were over 2.7 million boy scouts. But according to recent court records, that number dropped to about 762,000 by 2021.

Boy Scouts had always been exclusively for boys, but things started to change in 2013 when gay youth were allowed to join. Then two years later, in 2015, the Scouts decided to end the ban on openly gay adults. Then in 2017, Boy Scouts started accepting girls as well as transgender boys.

The Girl Scouts even tried to convince the Boy Scouts not to change the single gender mission. But in the end, the Boy Scouts caved and open the doors to anyone. The Girl Scouts said they remained committed to their single-gender mission.

By 2021, the Boy Scouts honored 1,000 girls and young women in the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts. That was the same year the Boy Scouts reached an $850 million settlement with 60,000 victims of child sex abuse.

Krone said, “About anything kids want to do today, they can do in a structured way within the scouting program.”

Perhaps Krone might celebrate the change with a new series of inclusive "merit badges" that demonstrate exactly how woke Boy Scouts have become?

Boy Scouts will officially become Scouting America on Feb. 8, 2025, the organization’s 115th birthday.

In the meantime, you might want to look into Trail Life USA if you are interested in sending your boys and young men to a Christian adventure, character, and leadership program.

Just alot of Marxist Soros - Howard Horowitz financed nonsense. Girls being part of boys organizations, yet girls don't want boys in their athletic organizations.

I tell people I didn't leave Boy Scouts, rather Boy Scouts abandoned me. I found they completely left the Scout Law and the Scout Oath behind. My father was in scouts and an assistant scoutmaster, I was an Eagle Scout and assistant scoutmaster, my son was an Eagle Scout. My grandson will belong to Trail Life.

I tell my son when he is asked about being an Eagle Scout, to tell people he earned his award when it mattered.

Remember - Last one out of the Irving office, turn off the lights.
