To the stand alone crusaders like Thom Tillis and Rand Paul, I give kudos for the fact that proves they stand on principal alone, and that should be respected, even when our Big Daddy, Trump resents it. Sometimes there are sacrifices made for the greater good and there will always be principled folks who will reject these choices. I can understand and sympathize as an avid political follower and writer. I personally agree with much of what Rand Paul has cited as his reasoning’s, while I could criticize Tillis for his inconsistent ones on merit. However, that aside, with the slim majority gained in the 2024 election, the choice is clearly about the greater good.

The Big beautiful bill does kick the can down the road and depend alone on how much growth could potentially surpass the #CBO analysis which in the end will determine how much it actually adds to the deficit. But clearly the government budgets year by year have not and refuse to curb added deficit spending by any real measure.

It is that reason alone that there will certainly be a reckoning, the time of, to be determined but not never for sure. Unless the eventual end of our United States of America Republic is certain to occur in the future along with other prophecies, we will not certainly know how high is too high for our governments spending deficit and debt to reach. The fact that independent authorities ie The Federal Reserve controls the deficit incurred by printing money is concerning, as “We the People” seem muted to voice or consent to this continued deficit spending. Our Constitution does not “imply” but rather states that “We the People” are the “Government” yet there seems no redress for “We the People” to challenge or hold accountable our elected officials who fail at every level to address the financial issues facing America.

There seem to be laws that all citizens and residents comply with who get credit in America when we are in default. They include property seizure, court orders and bank account freezes. Why is the government not victim to such practices when they spend more than they make? Because our representatives are not just corrupt, but also unaccountable to us, an abomination to the intent of the founding fathers and the United States Constitution. They have been compromised and we have been victimized. To right this wrong would require a violent overthrow of our government; or a calculated non-violent chess play to ratify an amendment to require term limits and evoke a termination of large proportion of the majority of career corrupt politicians in office to serve us who rather serve themselves first.

We cannot blame our President, Donald Trump for the Big Beautiful Bill, which was indeed the best he could do with the slim majority in place. Rather, we at the local and state levels need to organize and ratify a Term limit amendment to counter the corruption and assist in the drain the swamp initiative that needs to happen before the idea of real bankruptcy of our republic becomes a reality.

While extremely difficult, the U.S. Constitution can be amended without direct Congressional action through a process called a "Convention of States involving a two-thirds of state legislatures (34 out of 50) petitioning Congress to call a convention to propose amendments. If a convention is called, any proposed amendments must then be ratified by three-fourths of the state legislatures or by state conventions.

This is a radical approach to a “We the People” problem that is clearly the Elephant in the room that will ultimately save us from impending doom if we do not act.

Sure, we can kick the can down the road and in 8 years announce that those who have not died yet by another form of government intervention to kill us will not be able to collect their entitled Social Security benefit because someone stole it, or we can organize a grassroots effort to drain the swamp and elect new and uncorrupted representatives with a hope and a prayer that they will act for us not their own interests.

Sad to see us spending so much, when people who live off budgets dont get to randomly increase their funding through the printing of money. Kicking the can down the road is correct. Sad.

Every damn election cycle the voters have to hold their nose and vote for the LEAST reprehensible candidate for their individual party. We are not given very many options.
Now, these same creatures are squealing like stuck pigs because of some issue or policy that they don't like.
Boo freaking Hoo!!
Suck it up and SAVE OUR NATION!!!
