The Connecticut Association for Human Services, CAHS, which works with low-income children and families across the state, recently shared an email through ECE List Serv about Pride Story Times with 3,000+ child care professionals in CT, most whom run child care centers for children aged 12 and under.

The weekly story times take place on Tuesdays in June, and are being facilitated by two people who use "she / they" pronouns. It's hard enough for an adult to comprehend the use of "they" as a singular pronoun by an individual, so you can imagine how confusing a concept like that must be for children.

The next story time is scheduled to take place on June 20th at 6pm.

Previous Story Times featured a book that normalizes transgenderism to children, When Aidan Became a Brother by Kyle Lukoff, and the book Love Makes a Family by Sophie Beer, which features an illustration of two men lying in a bed together. One of the men, yawning, is depicted with breasts, again promoting the concept of transgenderism.

Educators or administrators interested in expanding their classroom libraries are encouraged by CAHS to include these stories for children in school libraries, despite the widespread controversy surrounding promoting gender ideology to young children.

Why does CAHS think that children, especially those who may still believe in Santa, the tooth fairy or even the Easter Bunny, have the capacity to understand a topic like transgenderism?
