Hamden City Councilor Justin Farmer, who bills himself as an "activist elected official", said he had joined a couple dozen masked protestors from the Connecticut Democratic Socialists of America (CT DSA) to block the entrance to Colt's manufacturing plant in West Hartford, CT, today over its alleged role in supplying weapons to Israel.
Farmer said on social media that the protestors were there to demand an immediate ceasefire and to free Palestine.
The protest follows a statement made by CT-DSA on Tuesday showing solidarity for "comrade" Rashida Tlaib... a statement that reiterated a deeply antisemitic slogan that calls for erasing the State of Israel and its people.
"We unequivocally stand with our fellow DSA comrade Rashida Tlaib against this Islamophobic censure by the US House of Representatives. From the river to the sea, Palestine WILL be free."

A dozen CT DSA members also recently visited Washington, D.C., to join the "largest protest in solidarity with Palestine in U.S. history." A protest which was tantamount to an insurrection after protestors were found scaling the White House gates and defacing public statues.
Prior to that, on October 28th, the CT DSA helped marshal a protest of some 1,200 people to the Hartford offices of U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy to end the "occupation & genocide" in Palestine.
By the way, the CT DSA is currently riding high on the success of three endorsed socialist candidates, Laurie Sweet, Abdul Osmanu and Rhonda Caldwell, who won their elections in Hamden on Tuesday.
