Connecticut State Democrats posed the question "How horrible is Florida under Ron DeSantis?" before sharing an article from Fake News CNN about the NAACP's newly-issued Florida travel advisory warning.
The travel advisory alleges, "Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color."
"Governor Ron DeSantis and the state of Florida have engaged in a blatant war against principles of diversity and inclusion and rejected our shared identities to appeal to a dangerous, extremist minority," said Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors, Leon Russell.
Ironically, the evidence of this hostility, according to NAACP, is that Florida has banned the racist and divisive teachings of critical race theory, and blocked an AP course on African American Studies due to the presence of CRT.
Perhaps what the Connecticut Democrats are really upset about is that Florida is the number one destination for people fleeing Connecticut.
In fact, nearly 17,000 people moved from Connecticut to Florida just in 2021.
