Senator Richard "Da Nang Dick" Blumenthal stopped in Hartford today for a quick press conference after returning from a "foreign diplomacy" trip with his good buddy, Senator Lindsey Graham.

The pair visited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron. This was Dick's seventh trip to Ukraine.

He shared his a few of his take-aways in a brief press conference today.

"Peace is nowhere in sight in Ukraine. Practically, Putin is actually preparing to escalate the war through a massive counter offensive in the East, even as he mocks Trump and America by stalling and stonewalling," Blumenthal said. "Putin is playing America and Trump for fools while he mobilizes troops, escalates the bombing of civilians in Ukraine, and the kidnapping of children, preparing a massive attack in the East."

"Putin has managed a false narrative of misinformation," he said. "What I saw in Ukraine are maps and evidence that disprove Putin's false narrative that Russia is winning in Ukraine and that its victory is inevitable."

"In fact, on the contrary, Ukraine is demonstrating agility and audacity, as it did within the last 24 hours in its bold, brilliant attack on five Russian bases, disabling a major part of Russia's air resources," boasted Blumenthal who justified the "extremely important" attack.

Blumenthal then claimed it's "crunch time" for America, and that means he wants America to provide military and economic aid to Ukraine before the summer and pass a bill championed by Blumenthal and Graham that contains "scorching sanctions" for Russia.

"We returned from this trip, convinced that Ukraine can win if it has the strong support of both Europe and United States," said Blumenthal. "President Macron indicated that our European allies will continue their steadfast and strong support for Ukraine."

Da Nang brought up the "bold and brilliant" drone attack once again, with a smile on his face, praising it's short-term effectiveness and then promised that Ukraine "has plenty of strong cards to play, and it's playing them."

He concluded by saying, "there was complete justification for keeping that attack secret from anyone and everyone. First, because Donald Trump has the well-deserved reputation for talking publicly about confidential and sometimes classified information, but second, because lives were at stake, a major operation 18 months in planning, far from Ukraine, using highly secret and surreptitious means, so that secrecy had to be at the highest level and many of the top officers in the Ukrainian military had no knowledge of it."

"There was no compelling reason to share that information with the United States. It was done totally independent of the United States without any American arms or military involvement, which makes it all the more audacious and impressive," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Blumenthal's quick trip to conduct foreign diplomacy is raising all kinds of red flags, not the least of which are over the cost of the trip and the reasons for the trip, like the alleged "money laundering" and attempt to start WWIII.

People are also wondering if Blumenthal and Graham violated the Logan Act... and if they potentially coordinated on that large-scale drone attack that Da Nang is so pleased about.
